This is a blog with no aspirations. It does not want to change the world. It does not need to have its voice heard. It would be happy as a fry cook on Venus.

He is such an underrated character. He was a cinnamon role and just wanted to help the entire movie. No Hans bullshit, no pressuring her into a relationship, just love.

He gave support, he was patient, he was unconditionally kind, he accepted all the difficulties with child services and all the weird alien visitors with barely a blink. He dove into the ocean to rescue Stitch because Lilo was worried. And through it all, he proved that he was more than willing to do everything in his power to help these girls and make them smile, without any thought of a reward or being “owed” for his friendship.

Even his line at the end, when Nani thanks him for helping her find a job (”That’s okay. You can just date me and we’ll call it even.”), is delivered with a certain amount of humor, and his behavior throughout the rest of the film shows that he would still accept it if she turned him down. Because more than just liking Nani, he RESPECTS her.

David Kawena is the ultimate Disney prince.

~Boundless~

From the depth of the ocean To the limitless sky Open a book, open your mind This world is boundless So let your imagination fly

Happy almost Thanksgiving, everyone!

I grew up in a small apartment in China and was raised by my grandparents. When I’m not studying or doing homework, I would go into the office/storage room where all the books are kept and flip through all the books about animals. The photos and illustrations of all the different species always fascinated me and inspired me to learn, understand, and draw the world around me. It gave me a glimpse beyond the rundown apartments and the grey skies of China that I grew up in. Even though the storage room was no bigger than a bathroom, with those books, the walls opened up and the world became boundless.

Beavan demonstrated grade-A badassery at the 2016 Oscars by accepting her award for Mad Max: Fury Road wearing a custom leather biker jacket. There might have been some raised eyebrows at the unconventional Oscars outfit, but it was all part of her fashion philosophy, the one we plan on reciting every day. She didn’t even give two shits when a bunch of old dudes didn’t clap as she strode down the aisle.

“The scariest moment is always just before you start” Stephen King Here’s my illustration for Paperplane Co’s Book Quote Project! It was pretty fun to do, and brings back memories of being a little kid and creating tons of original work and (sorta?) fan fic, and now as an adult working on my beloved project. It is hard to start but once you get over it, it’s worth it!
