Hello kathy do you know anything about jinyoung receiving popularity award back in SM I read about it somewhere and I would like to know more about it?? :)

Once a upon a time, when this cutest little dumpling pie:

was in middle school, he auditioned for SM Entertainment ^^ His mom wanted him to see that he wasn’t cut out for it. But at the audition, even though he didn’t make it into SME, he actually won the popularity award for his audition (probably because he was so adorable) ^^ After that, he realized he wanted to be a singer! He ended up auditioning for JYP a few years later and made it! ^^ He got 1st place when he auditioned for JYP~

hi, what is your opinion on winning on music shows? I partially think that they aren't important because after all the results are based on popularity of the group not "music quality" etc (though everyone has their opinion on music quality). But tbh winning no.1 is important to all the groups out there, you can see how emotional they get when they win their first award.
