what is your process for customizing your gameboy projects? and do you ever do gameboy color/pocket, or advance?

I’ve done custom work on all sorts of systems, I’m actually working on a custom GBA SP right now! (pictures coming soonish)

Process varies depending on what exactly the customer wants, but the main steps are the same as any other modder or commission artist. I talk with the customer to figure out what exactly they’d like and how I can best meet their needs, customer sends payment, I gather whatever parts I need (if I don’t already have them in stock), and I get to work putting it all together! I give my customers the option to receive occasional updates of the build process if they’d like, and within 3-4 weeks (depending on how busy I am and if I need to special-order any parts) it’s ready to be shipped out!

Prototype/proof of concept for the SquidKid pouch! I was originally going to get them online but I couldn't find the exact size and colors I wanted so I'm having a friend make them! The seams on this one are a bit rough because she made this one in like five minutes before the printer I'm working with closed for the day and I wanted to go ahead and get it printed so I'd have something to show you guys! The final version will look even better and will be reversible with blue and orange! And yes, this photo was taken inside my car.

Actually, I am doing a limited run of 25 Splatoon-themed Game Boys, and they’ll be even better than the last two I posted! Price has yet to be finalized, as they’ll be coming inside special packaging along with some extra goodies. I’ll have pre-order information up in the coming week!

Just a heads up, guys- both of the SquidKids I posted the other day have now been sold! I will be making a limited run of 25 more that will be even better than the last two, and they’ll come inside special paint can packaging along with special carrying pouches (similar to the Club Nintendo 3DS pouches), along with some other goodies that have yet to be announced. SPLATATATATATATATA- Introducing the SquidKid!

I’ll be doing a super-limited run of 25 of these, each with a totally unique paintjob, numbered inside the battery cover, and will come inside super-awesome packaging along with some extra goodies as well (shhh... it’s a surprise!).

I’ll have pre-order information posted up on my Tumblr within the next week or so, so be sure to follow me and keep an eye out, but until then, THESE TWO INDIVIDUAL SQUIDKIDS ARE FOR SALE!

I am selling these first two AT COST+SHIPPING in order to make some quick cash to get the final packaging and other stuff put together so I can have the final product photographed and get a proper pre-order page up. The final run will not be this cheap, so act fast!

They have custom unique paintjobs, new blue screen covers, internal prosound and orange backlights. (And lemme tell ya’, these feel really nice to hold. Asphalt texture with paint splatters. It’s great.)
