Even if Minimum wage jobs were just for teenagers that wouldn't justify such low wages. Call me crazy but if a child can work like an adult and puts in the amount of effort and responsibility of an adult and is expected to work as intensely as an adult would. They should get paid like an adult actually. It's so weird how in this country children are expected to face the burdens of adulthood and be ok with having none of the rights of adulthood.

i still think the most underrated but interesting (accidental?) plot similarity in wtnv is between carlos and huntokar......both found nightvale as an oasis of things and decided to settle, both started receiving attention and being considered protectors of the city, and being so obsessed with it they constantly mess with it, but they have the best intentions and so are different by the others who only want to ruin it for their amusement (janet, the other gods) but in the long run, are their actions really different? both love cecil but also kind of treat him in a weirdly possessive way like he's their own little special thing. is huntokar a good god? she thought she was, and the other people thought so as well. is carlos a good person? well he definitely thinks he's doing good. and cecil thinks he is. so

Okay I don’t talk about this on here. but I’m going through a whole lot just all the time, and I know that a lot of the people both in my life and on here are also experiencing this super fun state of being, so!!!

To anyone who needs to hear it today: I love you genuinely. I promise you that your “today” trials won’t last forever. The nature of life is change. You are strong and whatever hurts now will make you stronger, even if the only strength you can find in going though these pains is the strength to have experienced the changes you have had to go through. Sometimes that’s enough.

I encourage you to find a reason to smile today no matter how small or silly and to let yourself have that moment of happiness.

Take a deep breath… No joke it helps more than it sounds like it will.

 And I guess, I hope you find a moment of peace in your life. I hope you find something that feeds your ability to hope, something that adds to your arsenal of healing. 

There are people in your life who love you.

And if for whatever reason you can’t see that right now, or if it feels like there really is no one who loves you, please know that I love you. Gather round, kids. Let me tell you a story from ye olden days because I am tumblr elderly. I used to DJ for a radio station. I played records and CDs and we had station IDs from bands on 8 track cartes. People would call me asking what songs were–but they had to mumble, sing, or play the song on an instrument.
