"You! Pyloncrafter! I have questions for you." (warning-high-voltage)

Aboma looked at the person who claimed to had questions for him. He raised a brow at her, “What kind of questions, pray tell?”

“Mostly for motorcycle races.”

“Motorcycle races...” She tapped her chin in thought, listening to him talk then about a concert.

“I remember that big concert yes... Tell me more about the motorcycle races. Who are you to the crowd? And who do you see there?”

injury/illness sentence starters

“It’s alright, the cut isn’t that deep.” “I think I heard a snap, are you okay?” “Can you still wiggle your toes?” “Wow are you okay?! You fell really hard.” “What happened to your face?!” “That looks like a nasty burn, did you have it looked at?” “Hello? Can you hear me? You hit your head really badly and you were out for a moment…” “Don’t worry, the ambulance is on it’s way, you fell down the stairs and hit your head. You’ll be alright.” “I don’t think bones are supposed to stick out like that.” “I can’t see. I can’t see!” “No, I’m certain that’s infected.” “You should be more careful! This is the third time you’ve sprained something this week.” “That’s a lot of blood for a small cut…” “Oh my god! Are you okay?!” “I know it hurts, but it’s going to be okay. You’re not alone.” “You’re in the hospital. You had an accident.” “I’ve been having weird cramps all day.” “I think I’m going to faint.” “My sight is going all fuzzy… what does that mean?” “Shit! I just hurt my back. Can you help me?” “I think I’m going to be sick.” “I’m never wearing these heels again. Thank god it’s just a sprain, but… I’ll break them next, I swear.” “I can’t keep anything in right now. Everything I eat comes back out.” “I came as soon as you called. How are you feeling?” “How long have you been throwing up?” “Why do you keep rubbing your eyes? Is something wrong?” “I just sneezed and hit myself in the face with my knee.” “Didn’t the doctor say you needed rest? Because I don’t call this rest.” “Do you want to end up in the hospital again?!” “Was it something you ate?” “Is it an allergy? Do I need to call an ambulance?” “My skin is burning…” “I can’t do this anymore, this hurts too much, I’m going to scream.” “You look really pale… I’ll get you some water, alright?” “Don’t move, your neck might be broken. Just lie still until the ambulance gets here, okay?” “Never thought I’d be visiting a stranger in the hospital, but I guess that doesn’t count for strangers I hit with my car.”

Mind if I ask for some questions?
“Illegal crime ring in the underground of Piltover’s slums” was not a phrase Aboma heard everyday. As such, it seemed apparent that Vectra’s investigation likely involved him indirectly. Perhaps it involved a person he happened upon on circumstance.
“Sure, ask away,” Aboma nodded. He smiled at Vectra, presuming this would be smooth if he simply co-operated.

She smiled back, happy she didn’t have to chase this one down like the one who dropped his name. Even if it was such a small lead, everything needed to followed to the last detail.

“How often do you visit Piltover?”

“My name is Vectra Cunningham, Private Detective,” she said as she pulled out a badge and showed it to him. “I’m doing an investigation on an illegal crime ring in the underground of Piltover’s slums. My investigation led me to you. Mind if I ask for some questions?”

About the OC

Name: Dolores “Vectra” Angela Cunningham Age: 25 years old Parents: Yanni Cunningham (painter, MIA) and Amelia Cunningham (Piltover record keeper, deceased)  Appearance: 5′ tall, long and curly dark brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin, little to no curve whatsoever, small nose.  Occupation: Freelance/Private Detective who often works with some of Piltover’s Finest.  Lore: With a father who ran off to Ionia, Vectra was raised by her mother in Piltover. Often helping to organize records, Vectra enjoyed reading case files from the cases Caitlyn and Vi had solved. When the Records Building was destroyed by a Zaunite terrorist, Vectra vowed to use the knowledge she had gained from reading to find out who committed the crime. Joining Piltover’s police academy and working her way up, she re-opened the closed case and has been on the hunt ever since.  Case Solved: After a meeting with the estranged scientist from Zaun Adamus Decimus, the detective took down (and possibly killed) the man responsible for taking her mother’s life in exchange for her own. Rather than killing her, the scientist simply used her as lab fodder until she ran away after almost dying to his lab assistants. She now works on a new case: a struggle between wanting to take down the mad scientist, and wanting to help him out like he did for her. Relationships: Vectra and Adamus are kind of a thing, kind of not. She isn’t quite sure. All that’s really known is that she is easily jealous of the women he hangs out with, and at the same time probably smacks him all too often. (Other relationships will be added as they are established.)

"Is there a reason you're knocking on my lab door? I only accept business inquiries and the suicidal for lab fodder. Which are you?"

Avatar

“Business!” She clutched the handle of her brief case tighter. That case held all of the evidence Vectra had about her most recent investigation, the one that led her right to the scientist’s door. She knocked on the door again after a brief second. “I said business! Open up!” She grit her teeth, reminding herself to keep her temper down.

“Lab fodder…I can work with that.” He chuckled menacingly as he bent to retrieve a series of sealed files, stamped with the Piltover skyline.

“Alright, go solve your mystery. Be back here tonight.”

“Wait, what if it takes more than one night?” Vectra asked after she turned around to leave, clutching the documents to her chest. “And you can guess I’m going to want revenge...”

“Documents? What kind of documents?” Vectra asked suddenly, eyes widening. “Tell me. Tell me now.”

A man screamed from an adjacent room, and Adamus grinned.  “They’re from Piltover, he sold them to me. I could show them to you…but you name the price you’re willing to pay.”

“Anything. Name your price. I’ll be fucking lab fodder after I solve whatever secrets those documents give me, just let me see them and figure them out.”

His lab assistants all stared expectantly, but when no effect came, breathed a collective sigh. “Now, your problem was with Piltoverian documents? I happen to have acquired some from our friend mentioned earlier, I tink you might want to see them.”

“Documents? What kind of documents?” Vectra asked suddenly, eyes widening. “Tell me. Tell me now.”

“I’d honestly be slightly concerned about how, but… It does sound intriguing…” A tilt of her head follows a confused look at his container.

“Try it, and I’ll explain the science behind it as it works.” He smiled, offering a tiny cap of the liquid to her.

“I... Okay...” Deciding to take a leap of faith, the detective swallowed the capful of liquid. “Ugh, that tasted nasty...”

“Oh, I’m sure.” He mumbled, mixing two clear liquids. His scientists looked at her with varying degrees of suspicion. “Now, Vectra…what if you could get your daily cardio workout sitting around doing paperwork?” He asked, smirking slightly.

“Tell me, Vectra…do you often exercise?” He chimed, sifting through clouded bottles, “It is quite important.”

“I mean, I guess so. I run around a lot, do a lot a climbing, a lot of crawling, a lot of lifting. Detective work is so much more hands-on than people think.”

“Understood…come, there are all kinds of interesting things.” He said, motioning for her to step forward. He opened what looked like a refrigerator and began rifling through it.

She followed a few paces behind him, looking around his laboratory curiously before stopping right on his heels and peeking over his shoulder but to no avail-she was simply too short.

“Legal is a subjective term, I’ll say. While you’re here, are you interested in any of my services?”

“Zaunite version of legal, I guess.”

Vectra raised an eyebrow. “Even after me pestering you, you want to give me a service?” Vectra crossed her arms, not trusting his words. She didn’t even know much about his services, she just knew she was connected to a guy who was connected to a guy who was connected to a guy who was connected to a guy who might be a clue in this long case she had been solving almost her entire adult life.

“He had some questions about where I got my files from the Piltover Records Committee, but I assured him they were acquired by legitimate means. I lied, I bought these from an anonymous source from someone who had connections…I shouldn’t be telling you this, you’re established bad.”

The detective rolled her eyes slightly. “If everything you’re doing is legal, I have no beef against you. You’re not my guy,” she slumped over a bit, her spirit a bit defeated.

“He came looking for a prototype I had of a cybernetic arm. Apprently Urgot was having issues with the up and down movement of his.” He tossed a file onto the desk he was rummaging through, labeled with the stamp of the Piltover records committee. A paper or two spilled out, showing pictured of bloodied corpses with parts of the descriptions highlighted. The titles were all labeled with Plague Victim Report. “That’s really all he took. He was more interested in the nerve connections that it needed to operate.”

Picking up the file, Vectra quickly looked through it. “Urgot’s arm isn’t devious at all...” Was she following the wrong clues? Vectra pouted slightly, slumping her shoulders in defeat. She was no closer to solving her mystery.

“Thanks anyways, though...” She handed the file back to the scientist.
