You know the “workaholic who struggles to make time for his family” stereotype in a lot of movies & stuff? Yeah, I want a plot that’s basically the opposite of that. I want Darcel to be the wife/partner of a man who’s working with the law (he could be a detective, a cop, a judge, a lawyer, etc), and who’s been through some pretty dark stuff. He has his demons, they all look like the bad guys he couldn’t catch; his work has become his life, since all he does is try to make up for the mistakes he’s done in the past. This, however, doesn’t affect Darcel. She doesn’t blame him for the amount of hours he spends working, because she does exactly the same; she puts her whole self into working, also to help him somehow, and supports him constantly. Rather than “being monsters together” (although I love that plot too), they’re fighting monsters together — she’s the only one who can stop his sleep twitches, and he’s the only one who knows how important her work is for her. Idk, I want that sort of complicity, I sort of need it right now.
