don't you have any Canadian superheroes there?

Well technically you have Wolverine and Deadpool in the list of Canadian born superhero characters, but if you’re looking for Canadian comics with heros there is a Captain Canuck which was conceived in 1975, Nelvana of the Northern Lights who was the first one to debut as a Canadian superhero, or even Capitan Canada who was conceived by Geoff Stirling, who had owned many different media outlets in Canada and the US.

Tra-la-laaaaa!

An early poster for the Captain Underpants animated film was spotted at the 2016 Licensing Expo. This is the first real glimpse at the film that fans have gotten in a while, with the initial announcement coming many months ago. The film is being done by Dreamworks Animation and is slated for a 2017 release. The film also boasts an all-star cast, featuring Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch as George Beard and Harold Hutchins, the mischievous elementary school students who turn their principal Mr. Krupp (played by Ed Helms) into Captain Underpants (once again, Ed Helms).

The film is based on the globally popular book series, known for being both beloved and for its controversies for being considered vulgar. It was reported to be one of the most frequently challenged books of 2012–that’s fifteen years after the series started. The series has spawned two spinoff series, Ook and Gluk and Super Diaper Baby. The series recently gained attention in the most recent book, Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-a-Lot, when George and Harold travelled to the future to reveal Harold was married to another man, with children. This made it one of the first big-name childrens’ book series to openly portray LGBT main characters, and families.

Fans should be pleased by the little to be found in this poster. The Captain looks very much on-model with his book style, with the poster utilizing the same font as the book titles. Things look promising for our beloved Wedgie Warrior. Let’s just hope the movie gets some Flip-o-Rama in there.

Captain Underpants is set to release in 2017.

There was never an official soundtrack released for Clone High. I made what i’d want the cover to look like, and compiled a list of songs that were featured in the show:

1. Clone High by Abandoned Pools

2. The Good Fight by Dashboard Confessional

3. Great Romances of the 20th Century by Taking Back Sunday

4. Sunny Day by Abandoned Pools

5. The Pusher by Jack Black

7. Valentine by The Get Up Kids

8. Stay Home by American Football

9. Don’t Let It Fade by Sunday’s Best

10. Exile Etiquette by Snapcase

11. Captain Lavender & The Gang by Will Forte and Christa Miller

12. Blue In The Face by Alkaline Trio

13. Expressing Ourselves by Will Forte

14. Girls Singing by Mates of State

15. Remember the Memories by Mad City

16. Higher by Liam Lynch

17. Yakety Sax by Boot Randolph

18. By Starlight by Helicopter Helicopter

19. Standard Lines by Dashboard Confessional

20. The Food Pyramid by Marilyn Manson

21. Can We Start Over by Abandoned Pools

22. Licky by Q*Ball

This is nowhere near complete; there are several tracks I’m unfamiliar with that were featured on the show.

If you don’t know what Clone High was, read up on it. It was great. There are numerous episodes available to watch on youtube but most are poor in quality: this is the best quality of the in intro I could find, and here is the best quality clip i’ve found thus far.

Sometimes people do truly great things with their time. This is one of those times.

I have uploaded a torrent with all songs (except #11 cause I Believe that one’s combined already with another or I can’t find it?) plus a bonus track 23 for fun

Just right click on the link and select “Save linked content as…” and go from there

when I was like 12 I got REALLY into Total Drama Island, and into 6teen and Stoked a little bit

And if you don’t know, these shows are basically Canadian anime, lots of teens that mainly stick to stereotypes… and I mean look at the character designs

so yeah this is what I refer to as my “Eh”-aboo phase

What kind of content would you like out of this blog? More random pieces from my childhood, more descriptions of shows, more commercials, more YTV, more fanart? If anyone wants me to talk about specific shows give me an ask, or if you have a show that you can’t quite remember the name of give me the best description and I’ll see what I can do.

Not really YTV on religion but Paul McGuire’s view on it. Shift was a late night program block on YTV in the early to mid 90′s. You can tell how loose even talking about religion was back then compared to now.
