what happened to matty?
It all started with "The City". His presence during that song is what started it all. He wasn't happy. Before "M.O.N.E.Y.", he told the crowd to "stop fucking around - he's not having it" The level of tension amongst the fans who were there from the beginning and Matty was getting higher. After "Pressure","Me" and "Fallingforyou", what I believe is the most dramatic section of the set, he was COMPLETELY out of it. He was stumbling, bending down on his knees for 40% of the songs, and just shaking his head like he didn't know who he was anymore. He even mouthed at one point,"I don't know what's wrong with me." Then during "You", he didn't even grab the guitar to start off the song. He sat on the floor and sang that way. Matty knew he had to get up so he finally grabbed his guitar during the second verse. "Medicine", he cried during that as well as "Me","Sex" and "Is There...". Before "Is There..", he told us he loved us all and our love for him wasn't true. It was just an idea. After, he said,"I just want to go home man." That ended and there came "Chocolate", he SEEMED happy but we all knew he wasn't. Then finally, "Sex". He cried while playing the song. He ended it by throwing the microphone stand, knocking down amps and just standing there as if he was appalled by what he did. He screamed many times during the set and really let himself go. George pretty much dragged him out after the show ended.
