IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING, I am enjoying Pokemon Let’s Go VERY MUCH. Here’s me and my eevee, Merry, out on a walk in Kanto with my real life dog, Random.

Every bit of this game fills me with child-like glee just as the first games did so long ago/ That you can take any of your pokemon for real life walks in the Ball Plus is incredible. That you can transfer special pokemon from your time playing Go into a game where you can actually interact with them is amazing. Just..everything! It’s so fun!

I hope you’re enjoying it too! Tell me about your favorite buddy mons!

Kate is a comics illustrator and professor based in Savannah, GA. Her credits include the graphic novels from Oni Press and Archaia Entertainment as well as digital editing at leading comics retailer, ComiXology. Currently, she’s working on two more graphic novels and teaching at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Pat Shand writes comics (Destiny NY, Vampire Emmy, Robyn Hood), novels (Avengers, Iron Man, Charmed), and more. He lives in New York with his fiancée Amy and their zoo of cats. Headshot drawn by Roberta Ingranata.

Pat is returning a Dates 1 contributor, and Kate brand new to Dates 2! Pat’s writing is full of snappy dialogue and quickstepping plot progression, while Kate’s artwork matches the words beat for beat, filling the characters with emotion and bringing them to life. You can find Pat pretty much anywhere on the internet at @patshand, and you can see more of Kate’s work at her blog, or on tumblr at @katekaz.

Kate and Pat’s story, “Dolores and the Dollfaces,” takes place in California in the early 1900s, as an overworked and under-appreciated librarian finds friendship and catharsis in the exciting group of women who have begun gathering on her library’s roof. Read it as part of Dates 2 by backing the Kickstarter!

Inspired by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie's amazing “The Wicked + The Divine” series (beautiful and tragic, if you’re not already reading!) I’ve started tackling ‘covers’ of the goddesses I follow as an act to honor them as well as my own creative urges. This ones for you, Artemis Elaphebolos, xairete!

Hey all! I know I haven’t been on here in a hot minute, but don’t worry--I’ve just been keeping super busy and this is one of the many reasons why!

I'm so honored and excited to have been a part of this anthology--it's been a labor of love for everyone involved. All proceeds benefit The Center in Orlando--it's the largest LGBT+ support center in the city and is still working to help all those affected by the terrible tragedy of what happened at Pulse nightclub.

PLEASE PICK UP A COPY if you can OR REBLOG if you can’t! There's so much brilliant work represented here--from comics to poetry and an original illustration from yours truly (the third preview, “The Beat Goes On,” is from my piece!). It just goes to show that when we all work together we CAN make a difference!
