a six year old idea that i’m still apparently into: au where it was the water tribe who attacked, katara and sokka still found aang in the iceberg 100 years later, but then, kind of tried to kill him. luckily aang escaped in time to team up with a pair of plucky young fire nation siblings who ought to have inherited the throne, you know, if the water tribe hadn’t laid waste to their country. mostly, i just like drawing katara in military gear, and enjoy thinking about the political intrigue of two ruling branches of the water tribe.

whuuuut, is it already the end of 2016? what the heckie! this year passed by soooo fast, & i’m still here, trying to catch up to it lmao. anyways! this year has been the weirdest! stupidest! year ever. but it’s ok, i had you guys on my dash to make it so much better. & you did! which is good, you know, because otherwise i’d complain a lot more than i actually do lmfao

I know this is slightly complex, but it’s worth it! Like the Pokemon one I made before, I tried to make this one as accurate as possible as well. While the birthdays thing isn’t 100% canon, it has been said that most benders are born within their element’s corresponding seasons. So, Water=Winter, Earth=Spring, Fire=Summer, Air=Fall. And it’s said that all children born into the air nomads become benders since they’re raised so spiritually! :) As for the special dates within the months, they’re the winter/summer solstices and spring/fall equinoxes, which have held significance within the Avatar-verse in the past, so I figured they’d be fun to include to give people the opportunity to be a different kind of bender than their homeland.
Most people will likely be nonbenders, since it’s typically more common. So, I tried to make things as interesting and diverse as possible with the nonbender skills/occupations.
