I saw the thing posted by Jinx-Burns, I'm curious how does Burnie being Oryx's second son and Crotas brother work? Does he have Oryx's Willbreaker Hive Cleaver and ability to control the taken or is he still part guardian and part hive god?

I couldn’t give you anything since it’s not my idea, you’d have to ask jinx-burns ;;; 

part guardian part hive god sounds familar. side-eyes ryan. haha. but really you’d have to ask them, i’m sure they can come up with/have better ideas for it since they sorta had it first, not me

I would imagine the Cabal is the reason for his death, yes. Around the time they took/captured the Traveler I like to think that every guardian’s Light sorta. Left them for that moment. Because you do get your ghost back, as proved in the beta, so I imagine you’d get it back at some point? Or fix it?

Anyways, he dies when he comes back in because communications between him and Fireteam AH fail and he sees the Tower falling apart and does, well, what he’s supposed to do despite the fact that he originally went there to search for his friends - fights off the Cabal and helps civilians stay out of the way.

He doesn’t get to see them.

“Are you okay?” 

Ray doesn’t acknowledge the question just yet, nor does he give any attention to the person asking it. He keeps his gaze on the Traveler, focuses on the railing underneath his hands. The silence is suffocating, because he knows that Michael’s waiting for an answer—waiting for something, at least. 

“You know,” Ray begins, voice quiet. “You guys asked me that so many times after it happened, it almost got annoying.” 

It had been just a small mission on Venus and the Hunter had thought he could handle it, but one look at the Vex portals had his fingers twitching with the ghosts of movements that were not his own. He could hear their noises in his head, surrounding him—consuming him like it did before.

They weren’t able to complete the mission.

Oh my god, I’m such an idiot. I can’t believe I didn’t see this before.

Gavin’s exotic weapon for TTK, besides TLW, should be…Telesto.

! That’s an idea aha I didn’t even think of that. I haven’t decided what gun Gavin would get honestly (he’s not a Last Word kind of guy, I think). In the lps he was really liking Invective and I thought about giving him that.

BUT Telsto does have the description ‘Vestiges of the Queen’s Harbingers yet linger among Saturn’s moons.’ so I might because of the connection it possibly has to the Queen 0:)

[9:28:20 AM] { х-ɢαy }: okay but imagine when they’re back at the tower, after oryx, and jack is with gavin doing some scouting on earth - michael’s hanging with lindsay where she’s hiding and ray is off with geode and it kinda just spills out of ryan’s mouth.

“i’m sorry,” he says quietly, not looking at geoff - he stares down at his hands, a shaky exhale escaping. “for not being around much. for letting the power i had pretty much consume me. i know you wanted me around a lot and i always refused and i’m sorry for that. i wanted - i didn’t mean to - ” ryan slumps in place, sighing and covering his face. “sorry.”

it’s quiet for a few seconds; ryan feels geoff shift closer to him, jumps a bit when an arm wraps around him. “nothing to be sorry about,” geoff says, just as quiet. “you had your own thing and that’s okay, i wasn’t gonna stop you. i do wish i could have seen you around more but you’re here now and i’m happy about that.”

“i miss before.” ryan admits. “before when we were all okay, when all this crap didn’t happen to us yet. i wish it was like that again.”

“i don’t. we wouldn’t be who we are right now if it were like that.” geoff pauses, takes a deep breath. “i’m happy where i am now. i’m happy where we’re sitting, right here.” ryan doesn’t miss the unspoken i’m happy with you here.

it makes him smile, soft and hidden as he turns his face away.

actually, after watching the taken king let’s plays, i think Zhalo Supercell would fit best with Geoff – it seems very Geoff for some reason? the way it handles and the way it sounds, i guess. armor? also Alchemist’s Raiment fits him well don’t you think?

Gavin i still don’t know yet. he has the Cloak of Taniks for sure, but then trades that back to the Queen’s Cloak because of Lindsay (in honor of her, honestly – he doesn’t believe she’s dead though but he still does it). Gavin is UNDECIDED for now.

Ryan is still up in the air, mostly because i never really gave him exotic armor since he had the crota’s end armor on. maybe i’ll do the same now? he could get the king’s fall armor……UNDECIDED for now.

Ray’s getting the Black Spindle – and he switches off to Dark-Drinker (void exotic sword) from time to time. he has Crest of Alpha Lupi for missions but uses Graviton Forfeit for crucible (he loves to use shadestep to confuse the enemy team). The cloak that he has on is the Wolfswood Cloak. Any other armor pieces will be Iron Banner ones.

Jack is getting SUROS Regime as well as Bolt-Caster. did have Heart of the Praxic Fire but since he won’t be full sunsinger anymore, he won’t be needing it? i might give him The Impossible Machines tbh. 

Michael’s exotic armor is also UNDECIDED, since i haven’t really gotten anymore exotic armor beyond helmets for titan. his exotic weapons are Thunderlord and Raze-Lighter.

Sometimes it feels like the Vex influence never really left.

Ray knows it’s no longer there, he knows the difference between his own mind and the Vex mind – he absolutely does.

But he still gets the feeling.

Toland’s journal spoke of the Darkness as though it were simple. 
‘Everything is becoming more ruthless and in the end only the most ruthless will remain.’ 
It wasn’t even a warning. It was the former Guardian’s idea of an explanation. Michael didn’t want to go off of the words of a mad man, but they rang true, at least in the hollowness of his chest. He read Toland’s stretched out metaphor – the one that spoke of three great nations under three great Queens – and understood. And hated that he understood because it confirmed his deepest nightmares. 
Then the exiled Warlock had written, in bold strong words over and over and over again until they practically tore through the page:
‘LOOK UP AT THE SKY’
But Michael didn’t need to look up. He looked down, down into the Vault that had nearly claimed the mind of his best friend. And gave himself up to the Darkness that infected it to save him. To save them. 
It was the simplest thing he’d ever done.

Black Spindle Sniper Rifle This weapon is an exotic version of the legendary sniper Black Hammer which could drop from defeating Crota. This can be found by taking an alternate route in the ‘Lost to Light’ Daily Story mission and heading towards the Taniks strike final room. You have ten minutes to clear all the Taken from multiple rooms, as well as a boss who takes the place of Taniks. It’s not yet known if this is a one day event, or this will always be available on Daily Story missions which lets you make your way to the Taniks strike, or specifically the ‘Lost to Light’ daily. (Hint - Take out the black spheres at the back left and back middle of the room to stop trillions of Taken spawning)

they’re gonna leave the tower together but then they’re gonna separate to do their own subclass missions and they’re probably gonna have to stay on that planet to practice with it and holy shit all that POWER in michael’s hand, letting out a laugh as he takes out enemies on mercury and ray feeling quicker than ever, light on his feet as he vanishes in the shadows and it’s a huge RUSH and jack doesn’t feel the warmth of the flames, he just feels the electricity all around him and within him and it’s nothing he’s ever felt and he feels STRONGER.

and the three of them meeting up again and looking a bit breathless and talking about what they did and sharing knowledge of how it felt with their other subclasses and it doesn’t take long for them to get the hang of it and eventually moving on to follow the missions and quests to get rid of the taken and figure out how to take down oryx along the way.
