There was a king who had twelve beautiful daughters. They slept in twelve beds all in one room and when they went to bed, the doors were shut and locked up. However, every morning their shoes were found to be quite worn through as if they had been danced in all night. Nobody could find out how it happened, or where the princesses had been.

   So the king made it known to all the land that if any person could discover the secret and find out where it was that the princesses danced in the night, he would have the one he liked best to take as his wife, and would be king after his death. But whoever tried and did not succeed, after three days and nights, they would be put to death.

   Muse A is one of the princesses. She is clever, gentle, quiet and helpful to everyone around her. One day she meets Muse B, a king’s son that has come to try his luck at finding out her and her sister’s secret. They talk and become close and when it it time for them to sleep the eldest sister gives muse A a potion that will put Muse B to sleep for the night. Reluctantly, muse A gives the drink to Muse B know that he will die come the end of the time limit given. Muse B pretends to drink the concoction and waits for the princesses to pretend to sleep.

    He follows them to an enchanted land where he gathers evidence of his travels. He gathers more evidence for the next two nights and on the final night he is caught by Muse A. At first distrustful of Muse B for following her and her sisters, Muse A slowly comes to realize that they were caught fair and square and is asked to share a dance with Muse B instead of her intended partner.

    But all good things come to an end when an evil witch comes across the enchanted forest and castle where all the princesses and Muse B are dancing. Plotting to take the King’s kingdom for her own she seals the gateway out shut but not before the witch casts an evil spell to destroy the enchanted land. Determinded not to die here Muses A and B work together to find the key to getting out: love.

   Once out they stop the witch from killing the princesses father and Muse B brings him proof of the enchanted land that is now destroyed thanks to the evil that had been eating away at the good magic. Muse B when asked to pick which princess to be his bride picks Muse A and they married.
