He understands goddamn well! Happy Boy, you put that stick of margarine down." Happy Boy: 😁 Dad: "Mary..." Mom: "Put it down now!" Dad: "MARY, STOP!" *Mom grabs Dad's arms* *They yell over each other, then descend into sobs* Dad: "I don't know how to love him either, Mary. I just...I don't know." Happy Boy: 😁

Mom: "Happy Boy! Did you eat all four sticks of margarine?!" Happy Boy: 😁 Mom: *starts crying* Dad: "It's okay. It's okay." Mom: "This is---it's just---it's so much harder than I thought it would be." Dad: "It's not his fault, Mary. It's not his fault." *starts sobbing* Happy Boy: 😁
