Classical Pieces You've Probably Heard but Might Not Remember the Name

Add others if you want! Have fun!

I’m sure there are more but these were some of the first that came to mind as missing!

I think this one’s missing, one of my favourites:

Danse Macabre - Camille Saint-Saëns

This is one of the best classical music master-posts I’ve ever seen. I’m so proud of yall

This will probably give you a name to music you’ve been unable to Google…

week 35

- 2 baby showers! I am a lucky lady and this is one lucky babe! One hosted by my nearest and dearest and another at work. The second one was meant to be a surprise but like all attempts to surprise me, I foiled that plan. CAN’T FOOL ME - but seriously stop trying to surprise me.

- We have *basically* what we need for baby’s arrival? No way to feel totally ready but this is as close as I think we are going to get.

- It is very surreal to have a video monitor app on my phone and to be able to look in on an empty crib/nursery. Like...what’s going to go in there? It surely can’t be a baby.

- I am moving slower and slower. The pregnancy waddle is in full effect, and I know why women do it now. It’s to avoid the 24/7 urgency to pee. If I walk normally I have to pee. If I slowly waddle side to side, I can avoid that urgency for like...4 minutes.

- People have started asking me if I’m “sure it’s just one??” What? Seriously? A-do you think that I look that big? B-do you think it’s good to admit to me that you think that I look that big? and C-if I look this big and have already admitted to you that we don’t have long to go, don’t you think I’d be SURE that it was just one? People, man.

- I will say again, I have enjoyed being pregnant. It is fun. It feels special and it is nice to feel special. But at 35 weeks I can’t help thinking “boy I’ll be glad to have my body back to myself - which HAHAHAHAHAH

- Baby continues to ask “what is the lowest threshold for passing this test?” and then doing just that. Heart rate needs to be above 120? Cool...124. Baby needs to have 2 heart rate spikes in 20 minutes for a Non-Stress Test? Two it is. That’s cool baby. Just keep making me nervous, I guess it’s just par for the course of the rest of my life.

- I have gotten really good at napping.

- We are still very up in the air about some aspects of the name. Todd has fallen in love with one girls name and I’m fine with it. It’s not what I have planned on all my life like the other one, but I love it and I mostly love his enthusiasm for it! Boy names though? V. difficult. Plus we aren’t telling anyone our options which I’m GLAD of but you guys I REALLY LIKE SOLICITING PEOPLE FOR OPINIONS. This is hard for me.

- Not much longer now. Doctors are bringing me in for a c/s early due to some medical history, and given how I’m feeling these days I’m kind of excited about not having to go through the wait that comes with a naturally occurring birth. I know that’s weird to say, but I’ve come to terms with the necessity of the c/s and I’m just getting REALLY EXCITED.

listen, strange naked women emerging from fires is no basis for a system of government

I don’t watch much tv so this is either a game of thrones reference or I missed a big moment in the Hillary campaign

This is hilarious. Even monkeys know there should be equal pay for equal work. Skip to 1:15 if you’re impatient.

I mean, there are far worse ways to spend a rainy evening at the beach. And there are far better hands of gin to have. (at Sanderling Resort)

A boring minute of many, many bridges on the way to the outer banks. Lots of speculation over where we are and podcasts running in the background. (at Roanoke Island)
