Loertía aka Spanish Bingo has meant a lot to me for a long time. Growing up I never had a strong connection to my Mexican background, but with this game and thru these cards I knew that this was something made and meant for me. The first Spanish words I learned were from these cards. Using the Snapchat app I recreated all 54 cards using emojis. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the emojis matched up with the characters on the cards. A handful of cards didn’t fit into what I was trying to create so I took the liberty in creating new cards with different characters. I’m calling this “Emoji Lotería”

Left your heart behind when I laid eyes and said I’m up and done. The young just live and don’t look back or wait for anyone. And, maybe, you loved me but I just up and wanted to run. Back and forth, behind and down, when you were in and I was out - me chasing lovers in the front line of the parking lot. And, maybe, I loved you but I was not done having my fun.

“But, when I think of ‘F.U.B.U.’ and the album as a whole, I think of punk music and how white kids were allowed to be completely disruptive, allowed to be anti-establishment, and express rage and anger. They were allowed to have the space to do all of that, even if it meant being violent or destroying property and that wasn’t exactly inclusive to us even if we created the groundwork for rock and roll. If we were inclusive and we were violent and destroying property and able to express that kind of rage, then it would not be allowed in the same way.” — Solange on why she made F.U.B.U”

That sure sounds like something I wrote two years ago that I’m almost positive she’s read. Like, that’s what my entire article was about but I wrote it two years ago, and from the point of a Black woman who’s actually involved in Punk and extreme music. My quote is also attached to a popular drawing of me screaming into a mic and both are still shared today.

A citation is needed.

Every Beyoncé fan knows she does the same smile any time she’s being honored or is being humble or is about to cry. The true fans know what I’m talking about lmao.
