The way that coffee shops make tea is an atrocity. They're never like "oh let me choose the best earl grey or hibiscus tea or green tea and make you a normal fucking tea" they're like "I'm going to choose the most FUCKED UP FLORAL SHIT you've ever put in your mouth, I'm going going to put DILL in your HIBISCUS because I know all you've ever wanted in your life is to take a big bite of hibiscus stuffed with a pickle, I'm going to take your GRANDMA'S SEASHELL HANDSOAP and distill it into something that will make your soul leave your body, EARL GREY?!?! PEKOE?!?! don't waste my fucking time"

and people let them do it

These are all real teas that I've had in fancy boutique coffeeshops and I feel like ranking them.

3: aforementioned dill hibiscus. It tasted like vlasic made it but at least it tasted natural.

2: cherry green tea that was literally just watered down cough syrup amd probably a soft launch from Eli Lilly

1: distilled seashell hand soap that made me think they mixed up their cleaning solution with my tea and/or were trying to poison their clientele. Also it weirdly had absolutely NO smell despite containing 12 oz of pure floral onslaught against the human tongue
