You can read Fisheye Placebo and other comics at YuumeiArt.com

I’ve been busy juggling between finishing the next chapter of Fisheye Placebo and working on the Axent Wear cat ear headphones I designed, so sorry if the next chapter isn’t coming out soon enough!

As I worked on the chapter, I decided to record the coloring process I use for this specific style of my comic. I approach drawing comics differently than regular illustrations. With illustrations, I like to explore new techniques, weird color combo, etc, but with comics, the goal is to draw fast and be consistent. With so many panels to draw for each chapter, I’m always looking for shortcuts to make speed things up.

This coloring video took 20 minutes during recording, but the planning that goes ahead of it such as writing the script, designing the setting, characters, etc takes much longer. I would say the majority of time is not spent on drawing but planning.  I’ll be making more tutorials and maybe even live streams in the future to explain the full comic making process :)

(In this panel, Frey is dumpster diving for potential sensitive information. It’s really hard to make a character look cool while covered in trash lol)

The Milky Way

The Milky Way galaxy is home to 400 billion stars and our own sun and solar system. It is nearly 120,000 light-years across and a shining example of a spiral galaxy. The above are some pictures of the Milky Way, at least the visible portion that can be seen from Earth, captured by amateur and professional photographers.

Fun Fact: Every picture you’ve seen of the Milky Way from above is either another galaxy or an artist’s interpretation.

I just can’t believe the summer’s almost over. And now that I know how awful high school is going to be…I’m in no hurry to start that trainwreck.

in every yugioh series

opponent: well, I've whittled you down to your last fifty life points, you have no cards on the field, and I've set up an impenetrable strategy that turns every move you play against you. plus your capacity to think on your feet is hampered by this occult magick that's literally pumping actual poison through your veins, and also you're emotionally compromised because I bundled your friends together with rope and dangled them off the Space Needle. now unless you're holding a monster with a special ability that activates ONLY under these circumstances EXACTLY as described, looks like I'm winning this due--
protagonist: NOT SO FAST
opponent: oh my FUCKING god
