It's a strange thing, seeing children with strict parents. They become upset over being told they aren't allowed to do something, or being reprimanded for disobeying. They must follow the rules of their parents, regardless of if they want to or not. Garden is no different, though we follow a very different set of rules for very different reasons. But it makes you wonder, these children that still live with their parents, do they feel miserable for having to follow the rules of their household? Or do they view it in a positive light, knowing that their parents are just looking out for them?

Most children that come to Garden come because they have no other choice, not because they wish to. They learn the rules of the military, rather than the rules of a parent. Their views on authority are molded in that light, rather than in the light of a family. They are taught to follow certain codes, based on certain situations, rather than reacting based on what they 'feel' is right. Though perhaps, they still find ways to view their authorities as a kind of family.

But I wonder, which children are the ones that choose to live away from their parents, as means of escaping their own household? For abuse, for sadness, or even a sense of purpose? Do they regret their choices now, or do they lead a much happier life, being able to escape their cause of misery...?

"You’re right, nothin’ ya can really say will change anythin’. But the apology is a start, I suppose." Of course it still wasn’t going to be easy proving he was truly sorry as he claimed, considering he pulled his little disappearing act more often than not. At the very least she was giving him a chance, and that was far more than she actually had to give him. “—Better start thinkin’ of ways to make it up to me, Squall.”

"I'll make up for it in any way I can, honestly." Hell, if it meant she'd have him doing nothing but clean the house, hed take it. Cook all the means for the next month? Fine. At least she was giving him the chance to make up for it, rather than the worse alternative. That's one of the things he liked best about her. She at least understood that his occupation would do this every now and then, but would generally still forgive him for it.

Isn’t even actually going to say anything this time around, and instead just stares at him while waiting to hear his excuse this time for being gone so long.. Yet again.

He honestly can't tell if she's angry at him or not. He would't blame her if she kicked him out right then and there, simply for not really contacting her. "...I'm fairly positive that anything I say isn't going to make up for the fact that I've been gone. An apology won't help either, I'm sure. Though I am sorry, regardless of what little impact it'll have."

Ah, no I had them on a USB drive. But it's weird, because some of them are still there, but all the ones in the folders within the folder are still there (like my faceclaim and my 'Leon' icons), and literally every other single folder with my icons have all of them in them. So like, idk what happened to those specifically really?
