so i dont remember if i directly said but. i'm drawing a headshot of kellan in each of the 4 sets both because i wanted to see if i could figure out a nice gestalt of all the ways he's drawn (and all his cute little hairstyles) while still making him look like a teen who is currently being hit with puberty like a truck instead of instantly transforming to a 25 year old model who is unconvincingly playing a teen in a cw show, and because i would have a reference for myself and/or a commission and/or finally switch my icon out to something mtg related
and at this point. to be honest. i will be happy if i finish it before bloomburrow's previews happen. I just would like to get it done before the hype cycle completely moves on. it's not that i'm not motivated. it's just that it's really hard to fit drawing in because it is physically taxing and i need recovery time

I didn't know he was a mythologist at all, let alone that he was infamous for positing a "universal" narrative structure that reduces a variety of works and storytelling traditions to variations on a single Jungian theme regardless of whether their actual contents line up with his thesis. A lot of the time when I see people talk about aromanticism they bring up the way a lot of us tend to think that romance is just exaggerated in fiction and are surprised that people feel that way in real life and not just in the movies and that's honestly kind of funny, imagine just going about your life and one day finding out that most people's high school years were actually like disney channel and you're the exception

saw a post i simply couldn't agree with. which was hating the slog of early game sdv... but it's so fun though! it's like camping. there's something really appealing to me about changing the perimeters of your engagement of a game to make really small accomplishments feel like huge wins. scraping together 2500 gold with a single bar of inventory by the egg fest to get 25 strawbebby seeds is like. actually meaningful in the first year! catching silver star common fish with your dinky rod after your skills practically atrophying from level 10 fishing and seafoam pudding? having your whole day changed by finding an amethyst in a garbage can? that shit is fun as hell idk what to tell you
#i feel like i am going to hit a point with mc where i want to do challenge settings because they're so interesting#scraping and scrounging for a few sticks in a subterranean challenge or trying to collect rain in a just dirt world becomes enthralling#sure there's parts of every game that are boring but i would not play them as much as i do if i did not love the grindset
