Surely I’m not the first to have this headcanon but its so absolutely deliciously sad to think Gortash stalked you around with one of the Scrying Eyes. It really did feel like that in the Underdark

So i might have just datamined a new planned companion for bg3...

if you didn't know i make a diff of the dialogue files every patch in bg3 and noticed an interesting line

curiously i plugged it's id into the index search and

if you didn't know, these files are what is said when you dismiss a party member while recruiting another because your party is too full.

I threw it threw my silly little react project to see if I was right about that assumption and here's it in-between a bunch of other dismiss dialogue for other characters:
