I miss my penpals and I just bought a book of stamps.

Things I like to incorporate in my letters: book and movie recommendations. Song lyrics and art works. Random receipts or flyers from my daily life. Things I'm sad about. Things that I'm grateful for, or have made me smile recently. Funny band/album names I've thought up. Woes of being a cog in the capitalist machine, etc.

If any of this sounds fun to you, and you'd like a penpal from California please reach out & I'll write you a letter :)

Alcadia sp.

Alcadia is a genus of terrestrial snails belonging to a group of gastropods (Helicinidae) that - in an evolutionary sense - was the first to evolve to terrestrial life independently from any other and usually better known group of land snails.

Helicinidae represent a family of very remarkable land snails with a distribution range limited to the subtropical and tropical zones of the New World, Australasia, and the Pacific. By its shiny colored shells these snails are perfectly camouflaged for an arboreal life style on and under leaves of shrubs, palms and trees.
