During the Christmas season, I see a lot of woodland themed decorations appear in shops everywhere. If you know me, you know that I love that because I love anything woodlandy. I just find it odd that a lot of Australian people hate foxes, think they are pests and that they should be killed off, yet still these very cutesy decorations and other fox themed products pop up everywhere and people but them. It makes me wonder if the fox haters buy them or if it's just people like me that love them. Just recently a pest control order came into place which now means that no more foxes can be adopted as pets and people that have the means to do so (like farmers and hunters), must kill them. Sydney Fox Rescue pushed for further permits to be allowed so they could continue to operate and new owners could still adopt foxes. But it was declined. Stupid. SFR were trying to not only protect the foxes from being killed but also native animals as well by getting foxes out of the wild, which technically is what we all want. So peeved. Anyway, this shot is from a shoot I did a while ago to try to change the perception of foxes. Yes they do damage to the native wildlife but they can be sweet animals and an alternate way of getting them out of the wild should be an option. If I change the perception of even just one person, I will be happy. If you don't agree with me, that's fine but don't comment. The @vintagebridemag wedding fair was great today! I had a great time talking to lots of bride and grooms to be and also the other fantastic vendors. Here's a piccie of part of my stall. So I decided to go back to my New Zealand photos from Winter and rework one from a lot that I previously wasn't happy with when I tried to edit.
