Has everyone noticed recently, how the fashion industry has been highlighting men fashion? We did. It sells! A lot, actually. Men became, more than women, the industry target. Gay or straight, it doesn’t matter at all. Gender is now androgenic for fashion designers, combining accessories and fabrics, being both bold and traditional. Tailoring is not the only move to perfection. Gentlemen, suit is important, but it’s not enough. How about the shoes? Shoes have been a symbol of status ever since. A symbol of classiness, money and influence.
Men shoes can bee the most traditional and eclectic piece, even for girls! Pay attention to the runways, were we can see more and more girls using oxfords and slippers, so masculine and strong. The manufacturers embrace the new times, reinventing the tradition and remaining faithful to themselves. Carlos Santos is a stablished Portuguese luxury brand who does that. Combines old techniques and materials with innovative ways, specially concerning materials and leather. Forms and inner materials get new approaches as we can see in the Verbier Boot. The brand can mention the Swiss Alps as a moto, but we prefer to see shapes, colours and sceneries. Red carpets, Hampton’s shores, Florence streets, City cafeterias, private jets. Meanwhile caught by a 80’s guilty pleasure song we remember the words, a pair of those could sing loud and clear:
“Boys, boys, boys
I’m looking for a good time
Boys, boys, boys
Get ready for my love”
