He picked up his own jacket, ignoring her pout. “Yeah I’ve got everything.” He said as he followed her out the door.

“Love you. I’ll at least talk to you later if we don’t meet back up.” He said as she dropped him off at his car. He took his jacket and waved, then turned to go get his car.

His camera was in his backpack which was safely tucked into the trunk but these weren’t the best shoes to go walking in they’d have to do though. He drove to the big park that had jogging trails wound through it and took his time, walking in the grass, taking photos of some of the nature that caught his eye. The park had some trees in it, enough to make a thick stand but not enough to be called woods. He took photos of them, he got in among them and pointed his camera upward and took a photo of the sun and clouded sky through the canopy. He put his camera down, letting it hang from his neck as he continued to walk.

The shoot went amazingly well. It had been a while since Miranda had had a chance to play anyone but someones wife or girlfriend and this role was very different. Very different indeed.

During a break in filming, Miranda sent Viggo a text. ‘Still want that caller id pic?”   A few moment’s later she sent him a photo that had been taken by a cast-mate and it was wildly different from her usual look, even her usual roles.

Her hair was down and instead of messing around with it, they’d made the most of the waves that cascaded down past her shoulders. Her make up was heavier than normal with a smokey eyeshadow and black liner, her lipstick a shade of red that would strike fear into a man and a deep purple dress that caught every single sleek curve and moulded perfectly to her shape.  It stopped just after the curve of her thigh, and dipped to show a slight amount of bust. It was teamed with a studded leather jacket, left open, and a pair of stiletto heels.  In one hand was a partially smoked cigarette that still smouldered.

Miranda was looking at the Camera with a slight head tilt, her free hand brought up so as her thumb was resting against her lips.  It could easily have been a promotional shot for the program itself.

Viggo’s phone buzzed. He opened it and looked at the photo attached to the message. “I love it.” he messaged back.

He loved the shoots she did, some of them had her in great costumes. Beautiful dresses and gorgeous makeup. He smirked to himself as he thought that he’d have to rank this with the leather motorcycle gear. “You want to go to dinner tonight?” He messaged her as he got up to head for his place.

Once there he showered again and dressed in his solid black suit. As he put the tie on he had second thoughts and removed it before undoing the top couple buttons. He took a picture and sent it Miranda “You can’t be the only one dressed up.”

Miranda smiled when she got the text. It was nice that he liked it. Her phone buzzed again with the offer of dinner. “Yeah, that’d be nice, where will I meet you?..Though next scene all this gets ruined!” She replied. She had just finished looking over her next few lines when her phone went again, she thought it was a reply about dinner, but when the picture of Viggo with that suit on and a few buttons undone, came through, Miranda’s expression was a give away. “That man of her’s has sent her a nude..” One of the girls joked.

Miranda chuckled   “Not quite.” Then replied to Viggo. “Keep that up and you’ll be the one being devoured ;)’ she set her phone down and went back to filming

Viggo felt like kicking himself. It was Friday, the only way anyone was going to get a meal at a decent restaurant was with reservations….and he hadn’t made any. “Um.. about that. I going to have to make a store run, bit late to try for reservations. Shame about the outfit.” He messaged back.

He stepped into his sneakers and grabbed his keys and wallet as he left for the store. “Last minute idea for dinner, got steaks and fish both, can decide which we want. got dessert too. :)” He sent as he got in line. He hadn’t really thought about the fact he was wearing sneakers with his suit until the clerk gave him an amused look. “Semi-formal occasion?” “Yeah sort of.” He said as he paid. He was still chuckling when he left. “Got steak and fish, wasn’t sure which we’d want. also got dessert.”

‘That really was surf and turf.’ She replied back, then got back to work.

It was a few hours later when Miranda arrived at Viggo’s. She had changed back into something a bit less tarty- an emerald green jumperdress, black leggings and boots,  and had re-done her makeup.

‘‘Hello handsome.’‘ She snuck up behind Viggo and pinched his backside.

Viggo had heard the door, but hadn’t paid much attention as he was starting their dinner. He laughed as she pinched him and turned to face her, abandoning the leafy greens he’d been tearing.

“Hello beautiful.” He said as he put an arm around her and kissing her lightly.

It’s been rainy and windy yesterday and today. lights keep flickering because of the storm. They don’t even stay out, they go out and come right back on. I can’t believe it just happened that it barely made the lights flicker, it just shut my xbox 360 off.

Semi-Hiatus

I know I’m behind on replies, they’re being saved to drafts. I’m also on a bit of a hiatus while getting ready for college and now also due to having broken my wrist. Hopefully I’ll be able to dig into them at some point though it might be after I start school.

I have other accounts where I don’t owe so far as I know so I won’t link them here, but they’re under the semi-hiatus too.

on hiatus for a bit.

“I’m not freaking out, I’m complaining.” She told him with a slight pout.”But yeah, It probably is.” She said, “Have you got everything?” She asked him as she lifted her bag and a light jacket.

He picked up his own jacket, ignoring her pout. “Yeah I’ve got everything.” He said as he followed her out the door.

“And then I look even more like one! Ugh…I sometimes think  I should have just kept it pixie.” She replied, pulling a face before putting it up in a ponytail. “Besides, if I do much else to it, they’ll nag at me in the makeup department.”

“Hon, stop freaking out. They’ll be able to fix your hair for the shoot. It’s just been raining so much lately, you know how bad my bed-head would be if my hair wasn’t sort of short.” He was trying to calm her down, make her laugh at something else.

“Isn’t it about time to go?” He didn’t know exactly where her shoot was and he needed to go back to the restaurant to pick up his vehicle.

Viggo grinned, acknowledging his cheekiness. “I won’t set it as a contacts picture. but it’s a nice photo.” He said, pecking her cheek. “You sent me the contact photo i use.” He said.

“I did?” She asked, somewhat confused. “When?” She then kissed him back. “I’m going for a shower, I wont be long.”

She went and washed then came back in dark jeans and an Avengers t-shirt, hair huge and fluffy from blow drying.

“I think I turned into a squirrel.” She remarked.

Viggo wasn’t sure when she’d sent the picture, it looked like she’d been somewhere a bit cool as she was wearing a jacket. Maybe it’d been when she’d last gone to visit her family.

He’d just finished his tea when she came back out and spoke. He couldn’t help but laugh at her remark. “It’s not so bad. If all else fails you can just pull it back.” He suggested.

Thank you, it should do.” Miranda replied, then after hearing the clicks, turned to face  him and pouted slightly, hands on her hips, “Really? First thing in the morning with bed hair and yesterdays make up. in next to nothing? That is what you choose as a contacts picture?” She then playfully poked him on the nose. “You’re cheeky.”

Viggo grinned, acknowledging his cheekiness. “I won’t set it as a contacts picture. but it’s a nice photo.” He said, pecking her cheek. “You sent me the contact photo i use.” He said.

“You know me too well.” He said with a chuckle as he took a plate and a mug. “I’ll probably have my camera, yeah.” He added.

“Hopefully you have a good day.” She replied as she sat down with her own breakfast. “I’ve to go and shoot in a few hours, I got a phone call while you were in the shower.” She told him, before taking a forkful of egg.

“I hope your shoot goes well.” He said before taking a bite of his own food. When he finished he helped wash the dishes. He leaned against the counter, toying with his phone, there was a click and he smirked as there was another. He snapped one more picture before closing his phone and returning it to his jeans pocket. “Think i’ve got my contacts picture for you.”

“It’s perfectly fine love. It’s better than I’ve probably got at home.” Viggo probably needed to get groceries too, he probably had tea, coffee, bread and a few things to put on toast. He was distracted from his mental grocery list by her kiss and the following question. “Not really. Thought about going for a walk later. Maybe in the park.”

“That’ll be nice for you.” She replied, moving the now cooked food onto two plates. “I’m going to guess either a sketch book or camera in your bag too?” She added with a smile.

“You know me too well.” He said with a chuckle as he took a plate and a mug. “I’ll probably have my camera, yeah.” He added.

Miranda had already started on the omlette, she grated a bit of cheese in too. “Sorry it’s not much, love, I haven’t had a chance to go shopping.” She told him, before kissing him. “Have you plans for today?” She asked, flipping the omlette.

Father’s day, yeah whatever...

June 21, Father’s day. A day to honor your father, as if you weren’t supposed to do so every day. Not that Viggo observed it much, at least as a son, he hadn’t for a long time since he and his father didn’t get along well. He usually got a card from his own son or, if he wasn’t working, they either went out to eat or Henry helped him cook.

The last time the Mortensen family men, Viggo (sr and jr) Charles and Walter, had been together for father’s day, Viggo had been 18, and just graduated high school. The tension between him and his father was thick, but not about normal things like did he have a summer job (yes) had he decided on his major yet (he had it narrowed down to two), no nothing like that. It wasn’t even that his dad was still upset about what had happened shortly after his 17th birthday. That he’d forgiven while his mother still gave him grief over it. The source of the tension was something his father had seen one night back when he was sixteen.
