Even today it ranks 12th in terms of homicides in the world, and at one point the city he currently lives in over there, Medellin, was the homicide capital of the world. A lot of it involved the police, either getting paid off to conveniently ensure a street was empty when you were doing your killing/kidnapping, or just getting them to help you directly.

You can run away from Colombia but Colombia stays woth you. And not just Colombia, a millionare by himself could be an easy target anywhere. I've been wondering for a long time how can they look so carefree going anywhere without caution. Glad to see james has basic sence of protecting himself
