As far as 'Why can't people understand that blacks have problems?' it's just the way it is. Its just the way it is with everything. I keep saying this; no one has any empathy for anybody these days. You know, the rich don't understand the poor. The straight don't understand the gays. Whites don't understand blacks. Blacks don't understand gays. And some blacks don't understand immigrants. I mean, there's a lot of shit out there. People are in their own bubble.
By nature of being humans, we're tribal. For some reason, we glom onto things that we enjoy as a group, whether it be because we enjoy the same thing, or because we find somebody that looks like us.
People do this because they feel like a tribe. All they know is; I'm on this team, you're on this team. And I'm against this team right now
The thing is: as much as you hear me talk about race, or as much as you hear me talk abut religion, everything would be a whole lot better, if we could only stop thinking about ourselves as 'We matter, and only the things around us matter.'
If we all try to understand and see people for the problems that they have. We never, ever try to put ourselves in other people's positions. A lot of the world's problems would solved if we did that.
