"Hmm… Ring specifics." The ring did as he commanded and told him their exact location. "According to the ring we are in… Riverbank State Park."

"Your ring is very intelligent." She laughed to herself. "Well. It’s far enough from home… I’m not sure where you need to go, however."

Sodam smiles to the comment. “The Green Lantern ring was created by the Guardians of the Universe. It’s pretty much it’s job to know everything the world has to offer. No worries. All I need to know is where you live and the ring can do the rest.”

"Where I live?" She cleared her throat. "I live in Westchester. I’m assuming the Guardians of the Universe have made a very good tracking system."

"When it comes to tracking you'd be surprised with how useless this thing can be sometimes." He said with a small chuckle as his ring picks up Westchester. "I got a Westchester County. That the place?"

"What do you mean?" What did Hal Jordan have to do with Gardner leaving? Could he have put him up to this? So many questions began to rapidly form in the Daxamite’s head. It’s times like this he wishes he was still inside his planet’s sun and this this was all just some we’re dream. But he knew this  was all real.

"A lot of things have been rendering me shocked lately, I’m afraid. This happens when you’ve been trapped in the sun for a few years and have been trapped in a sun for almost a year and an additional few months as someones mind controlled slave…." Sodam said lowly with sadness detected in his voice. He would be impressed with Guy besting Atrocitus in battle if he hadn’t joined the Red Lantern ranks afterward.

"What’s with all of the questions, Sodam? That’s what you get for being in sun for so long," she said, crossing her arms together and stared at him with a half-annoyed and half-amused expression. "He is your partner and friend, I am sure he will be delighted to give you his entire sob story." She commented with a small laugh.

"It seems that wherever Jordan goes, trouble just follow him. Don’t you agree with me?" 

"Are you mocking me?" He said with clear agitation in his voice, not liking the way the Red Lantern was talking to him. "I may have lost a few conscious years but I'm still able to rip the wings off some sharp tongued harpy." Sodam was still going through some traumatic throwbacks, so the events on Daxam was still a touchy subject to him.

"That’s true. Before the Corps had rescued me, I had been out of the loop ever since the day I had left to save my people from the Sinestro Corps." It was a little embarrassing to know how many things had still surprised him. So much had happened in his absence. The discovery of different Lantern Corps, the Blackest Night, the Green Lantern War, and the countless allies lost along the way. "I suppose congratulations are in order."

"It will take you time to become re-accustomed to all that has transpired in your absence," she stated. "Give things the proper time." Laira had encountered her own hurdles with her reinstatement. Change was a hurdle it seemed both she and Sodam were still attempting to overcome. She thought, though, of the two of them that Sodam was still becoming used to all the changes more than she was. "And they are greatly appreciated," she answered, giving a light smile. "I will make sure to pass them along to Hal. He will be glad to know they you are active with the ranks again."

Sodam returned the smile with  a small one of his own. It was nice to know that he wasn't completely alone in this, and that Laira understood  what he was going through.  "How is Jordan anyway? I didn't get the chance to see  him on my recent visit to his sector."

"Oh no…" Seeing Wanda’s horrific reaction to the construct archive of her past actions presented to her, he would instantly regret it. "Stupid, stupid Sodam." He says repeatedly in his mind as he tires to calm the distraught woman down. The Guardians made a  mistake in sending him, he wasn’t the type to handle situations like this. But it wouldn’t stop him from trying. "Please, Wanda, try to calm down!"

Her hands raked through her hair, angrily pulling at it. Her mind melting from everything suddenly coming back. All the screams and pain she had felt like fresh wounds to her. “But…everyone…I ruined…everything!” Wanda sobbed as she shook her head repeatedly. “I…I…I ruined everyone’s lives…” She said, her sentences not being all that coherent.

He didn't know what to do at this point. There wasn't a lot of options in his disposal. The Daxamite, wasn't the expert on calming someone down. He could knock her out, but with his strength, he could run the risk of killing her. And there was no going back and telling her it was all some lie. He'd have to try talking to her. It was the best option he had. "Look... I know this is bad... and I don't know exactly what to say to make things better. All I can say is whatever reason you may have had for doing it, it couldn't have all been your fault. You seem like a kindhearted person, from what I've heard around this town. Someone must have baited you into it. If you can just calm down, we can figure this all out together" It was a terrible case he was building, but it was the best he could do. If worst came to worst he'd have to knock her out someway.

"Gardner!?" Sodam was almost stunned indisbelief of what he had just heard. Guy Gardner leaving the Corps to become leader of the Red Lantern Corps.

"How is this possible…? Guy Gardner is the last person I would think to ever defect from the Green Lantern Corps." Was this a lie? It had to be. But what purpose would this kind of trick serve for her? There had to be a good reason for this.

"Why don’t you ask Hal Jordan? He seems to know a lot of things that you and the others don’t know yet," she answered him, finding his surprise and shock amusing. 

"Honestly…don’t look so shock, this isn’t even the first time he became a freaking Red Lantern," she informed him, smiling widely and gave out a chuckle. "But you should have seen the fight they had, it’s almost like watching two children throwing a tantrum."

She really didn’t know what was going on. Was it possible that her reality altering spell was so powerful that it dealt her with a memory side effect? If so then this mission was going to be a lot more trickier than he had expected. “…Let me show you.” He said raising his ring in the opposite direction creating constructs to use to explain what hw was talking about. “Wanda Maximoff, AKA Scarlet Witch. A high class mutant who possesses the ability to manipulate probability. Meaning hex magic I assume. A few years ago, for reasons I am not entirely clear with. You developed a dangerous power called chaos magic. and used it to warp reality into a world that fit mutant kind. In the end you changed the world back to what it originally was but with an alteration that would wipe out mutants to near extinction. That’s pretty much the gist of it.”

Wanda looked at the man in green, clearly concerned. He seemed so convinced that she had done something. Something terrible by the sounds of it. She looked past him to see his ring project what he wanted to show her. Her eyes widened at what he said but more what she saw. “I-impossible. I’ve never…never…” She trailed off and clutched her head. It was like she had a mental damn and the cracks had been forming had now just burst and came flooding through her mind, not stopping. “What…what have I done?” She asked, clearly horrified with her own actions.

To this woman he is someone from a foreign land who had just said he would take her by force if she would not comply willingly. Her reaction is one that anyone would make. “You’re right.” He said before he powers down and lowers back to ground level.  ”I apologize. I came here expecting a fight, but you don’t seem to know what’s going on let alone what you’ve done.”

"What are you talking about?" She asked. For some reason, the things he was hinting out got her mind going. As if there was a itch she could not find. As if she had forgotten something that left her mind and she couldn’t remember. If he knew then maybe, just maybe he could help her discover that when she tried to remember the Scarlet Witch, these past events, that it would all fall into place. "It is fine…" Wanda trailed off as she looked up at him. "What…what have I don?" She asked him hesitantly.

"And what if I am? I’m not ill, I’m not dying any faster than anyone else."

Wanda took a step back. He said something she wasn’t exactly sure she recognised. “Scarlet Witch? The only witchcraft I see is the one before me.” She snapped, clearly not understanding what he was doing. However, that name, no matter how random it seemed, sounded so familiar to her. Still, in her mind she wasn’t entirely sure about any of these things. “I shall not be taken against my will. I am tired of brutes trying to make me do things and you shall have the same answer as I have given others who demand things from me in such a way. No.” She told him firmly with a more serious tone.

"I’m sorry did you just say Hal Jordan?" The Daxamite was thrown off guard with her answer."I wouldn’t have expected that at all. Especially with the way you and the other Lost Lanterns were treating him since…well you know. But I suppose that was all a long time ago."

"I do not recall stuttering." It was not the first time that Laira had been given such a reaction. The Corps had known how she and the other Lost Lantersn regarded Hal after being rescued. That seemed, to Laira, a lifetime ago. "I do not deny there being animosity on my part toward Hal. Doing so would be a blatant lie. But you have been gone for quite some time." A chance at life again had put things into perspective for her. And, given where her life was now, she was rather glad that it had. "He more than deserved another chance at my trust after he attempted to save me on Ysmault."
