Not sure if this has been done, but I thought of a Light Side AU where the ship Hux was in had an accident and crashed, leaving him the only survivor. It’s implied that he was still abused like in canon by his father. He was found and rescued, taken in to be raised by the resistance and meets Ben and Phasma. 

Hux is intelligent for his age and enjoys inventing new things and tinkering. He grows up to eventually become General Leia’s SIC. Ben is still a moody boy, but more stable and continues his Jedi training. Phasma remains a badass lady who becomes Captain and deals with both Hux and Ben (mostly Ben’s) shenanigans.
