Cheese with wine? Sounds Orlesian. Do you also have to wear a mask with it? I heard from Leliana that there is a thing called ‘cheese platter’ is that your thing too? I am willing to try new things, shutting myself away from them usually didn’t work out. What makes you say that? Do I not seem like a wine sort of person?

"It's just a platter with cheese, and various fruits, mostly exotic berries and grapes. Masks are only for certain balls, which I'm guessing you have yet to have the pleasure of partaking in one. Perhaps, mead seems something that you would like however."

"I’m going to go look at Minnie books!" Lily laughed out as she danced in front of her father. Asheriel just gave her a smile and waved her off. As long as he knew where she was it was fine. Lily ran up to her father and gave him a hug before she started digging in Ashe’s pocket for one of the stones he always kept with him. “And I’m bringing Hildep-Hidlepry- HIlde with me!” She said excitedly before running off. Ashe only caught a glimpse of the spirit floating along beside his daughter before chuckling, and watching the pink leather jacket and motorcycle helmet run off into the shelves.
Ashe let off a quiet breath before he started to peruse the shelves of the library. He had a goal in mind, but he wasn’t COMPLETELY sure where the books he needed were.
Honestly he was just hoping that English Degree sitting on his wall at home would be somewhat useful here, but he can dream.
After a fruitful twenty minutes Ashe had managed to pick up a number of books on witchcraft, the obligatory business book so he doesn’t lose his business, and herb guides but… There was one book in particular he was looking for. A volume on Herbal potions, mostly harmless things one can mix into drinks for good luck, good love, and curatives. Ashe could have sworn he saw it on this exact shelf last time he was here.
Ashe’s eyebrows furrowed before he let off a deep sighed. Well, when all else fails, it’s better to ask someone who works at the library. He took his books and reached into his biking jacket for his trusty notepad as he made his way over to the library desk, and rang the bell to get the attention of well.. anyone.

The library was unusually empty today, with a lack of rowdy teenagers that probably had something to do with release of some new film in the cinemas. It suited him just fine, for he did not have to tell them to lower their volumes or chase them out. That meant more time, sorting out books, and replacing them where they belong, and also, more time reading.

Felix might have left his shift early, so it was just him in his section of the library for the next hour or so. He was currently busy munching on a bit of peanut butter cups, in the book room, where all the returned books are sorted out, with the big red sign on the door saying,

'Closed off to public                    Staff only.'

It was there that Dorian heard the assistance bell and he made an involuntary groan. That sound signified the end of his break, early; granted, he didn't exactly have 'break time' now, that only happened, in the middle and the end of the shift, but it was the principle of the matter.

Sighing, he shoved the remainder of his snack into his left jean pocket, hoping whatever it was it, it wouldn't take up too much of his time. Maker only knows just know many times melted residue of chocolates and various snacks had ingrained themselves into the fabric of his pants. Dorian wiped his mouth with his hand, and looked down at his pocket, ensuring that his name tag was still there. The librarian pulled open the door, and stepped into the view of the general public. He blinked at the rugged man, and before his mind could make an unwanted comment, Dorian immediately went into 'librarian' mode, voice light and friendly, (which was mostly his default anyway), "Hey, can I help you?"

the man does not wince. not even bat his eyes at what ever display might’ve looked like from the outside, since he’d never really had the opportunity to ask.

” I doubt that would end well. “

There's evidence that perhaps, the man as been struggling with whatever he was struggling with for quite some time right now. But the question, the important question was how long or short did he have left?

"'Tis a rather dreadful business, But I doubt it would end well if you left it alone."

he looks rabid, but it’s clear there’s a struggle. muscle seems to buldge and flex under unknown strain. then, it subsides, and he lets out a breath held far too long to be normal.

     ” — you weren’t meant to see that. “

Coming from Tevinter, it's not hard for the mage to understand what he'd witnessed, there were far too many cases of same back in his homeland.

He frowns, "Of course, no one's meant to see anything. But I suppose you might what to get that checked out."

Does it have to be any part of my anatomy? I mean there is the weather, or current political standings and issues, religion, preferred diet… mabaris… there are a lot of topics outside my anatomy.
Image

"I like talking about your anatomy. But... weather, it's rather sunny, seems to be that way every time we're in Skyhold; the Inquisition is finally gaining traction in some parts of Orlais, and there's talk of Tevinter's interest in this. And I don't suppose you like cheese with wine?"

“I’ve never been with a mage intimately but I always assumed they knew things other men couldn’t.” A wicked grin spread over the Warden’s face. “And you know, free mages would know a lot more.”
image
“That aside I’m glad to see visual proof that not every northern mage is a slave owning mad man. We here outside the Imperium are fed into the belief that it’s a blood bath up there…pun intended.”

"Of course, your assumptions are correct, not to mention that magic can be used in a variety of ways." A play of innuendo is tossed back and forth easily.

Image

"Alas, there are half truths layered with rumours and lies, but there is much left to be desired in that place. The Imperium is what you call a, perhaps the reverse of what you have here." The Altus mage is referring, of course, to the treatment of mages here, and how they wield no power, when they're the strongest of lot; and in Tevinter, mages seemed to wield too much.

"Ah, rumors. Such fickle things, yes? Yet if I did believe such scurrilous talk—  it would not be nearly as… rewarding to accept your claims when I might instead demand proof.”
Clearly enjoying himself, Zevran posed as he was looked over, his head tilting just so, one hand resting on the hit of a dagger at his waist, thumb stroking its pommel in a decidedly suggestive manner. “So? Are we to test one another, then? I must admit, I would most definitely welcome the challenge.”
Image

He nodded then, "Proof; that's going to be easy to get for you. Or for you to get it yourself."

"Always happy to be pit against a rogue, I heard they're quite good with their hands." Eyes did not miss the movement of thumb against the handle of the other's dagger, and his hand reached back and grabbed hold of the staff previously rested snuggly on his back. The mage, does a dramatic twirl, with both his body and weapon, then, shifting easily into a stance.
