This girl … she was only a child. An innocent, vulnerable, unknowing child. Galileo could easily do something to her without a backlash, but she decided to see what the girl had for her. She was already complementing the crow after all !

The murkrow then proceeded to kneel down to the height of the young kitsune and removed her hat, before placing it on the head of her. The lack of eyes Galileo (Well, ‘visible’ eyes that is !) showing.

“Don’t play dumb. I mean, you weren’t plannin’ on dressin’ up like a total creep and expecting someone not to call ya out on it, were you? I’m surprised you ain’t drivin’ a van and lurin’ little kids in the back with candy.” Duckman mused, looking in between the two when they came to a stop. At least he had managed to get someone’s attention. Things around here were starting to get dull.

When the other spoke up, he blinked a couple of times, looking a bit astounded. Why? Probably because he hadn’t heard someone on a day to day basis with such a…unique accent. Plus, he was easily impressed.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa–is that french you’re speakin? Ya know, I don’t mean to brag but, uh…I took a little French in highschool.” He told them proudly, taking a small glance down at his finger nails as if they were some kind of interesting. He only looked up as she went on about him managing to get the other to speak up. “Heh? Well I just call ‘em as I see ‘em, ya know?”

You would think that Galilei would have a displeased expression on her face at hearing she looked creepy to go along with the previous “convicted pedophile” comment she and her sister had been labelled as. But instead a somewhat large grin formed on her face. Was this to go along with being called creepy ? A pedophile even ? Whatever the reason for the unnerving grin, it would certainly make the comments Duckman had said believable. 

“... So̵ d̛ress҉i͘n͏g i̛n ͞a ̷forma̧l mann̛e̕r a͞u͡t̴oḿa͝tic̶a͢lly ̨mak̕es͘ y҉ou ̡a҉ ̴”c̡r҉eepy̢ ̸c̛o͢n̸vict̢ed͟ ͞ṕéd̛op̡hi͢le” in ̵thi͝s da̧y̡ ͠an̴d͢ ͠a̢ge now҉ ? T̛h́͜a̕͝t͝҉ ̨̨iş͘ ͘a ҉c̡̀e̴r̴t̸a͢͡i̴n̸ly̨͜ ̛ǹ̷̸e҉̴͡w ̕o͘n̵̵͜e͜͠͞ ! ”

Once Galileo had recovered from being called a “convicted pedophile”, she took note of how her sister had reacted to it herself. Naturally, she would mimic what Galilei would be doing. Which was grinning. Though to be truthful it was not as creepy as the smile her sibling was showing. It would be an achievement for anyone to outdo that !

“Òu͏a҉i̵s̛ !̷ ̕W͢e ̸are şpeak̀ing̶ ̛Fr͜e͡nćh̛,͠ ͠m҉onsi̡eur !  ̸A̴l̛t́h͏oug̀h͡ b͡e̢i̧n̛g͟ ҉abl͠e ͟to ̵s͡p̧e̵a̴k ͘F̀r͠e͢n͠ch͡ is ̢not͏ ̢r͏ea̷lly ̶al͝l͠ ̛of a b͜i͜g̶ ҉a͢c͏hi͢ęv͘eme͏n̴ţ. A͞ lot͞ ͞o҉f͏ p͏eop͢le to͞o̡k̵ Fre͘nch ͢a͝s͘ ̀a lan̵g͜u̕age ͟su̡b͢j̧e̵c͟t͟ bàc͏k͏ ̨in͜ h͏i͡gh ͞s̶ćh̨o͞ol̶.͏”

That last statement sounded a little ... unusual. It almost sounded like a taunt or implied to sound mocking even ! Perhaps this was the reaction Galileo had chosen to go against the negative comments she had received earlier ? Maybe !

Thank goodness Riley could understand Galilei now, before she was squawking up a storm and was completely not understandable, “Uhh… Really, it’s alright, don’t worry about it, okay? I probably shouldn’t have asked anyways,” They cast a glance towards the sulking Galileo and quietly asked, “Hey, are you alright..?” 

“... You̶ ͠ar̨e ͢proba͠b̸ly ̶ri͜ght͝. ͝W̸e ̶h͜ave n̶o ̧i͠dea ̵h̸o̧w̵ bo̷ss ̸m̸ight reac̨t i͜f we ̢l҉et ̀òu͘t ҉infor̢m͡a̢ti͟on̛ about͠ he̛r̸.͟ ́Gi̸ve̴n h͡e͘r ͏pe̛rsonality,͏ ̢s͡he ̢p̶r͟o̴bab͝ļy̶ would no͡t c͝a͞re t͜o ̕be t҉r͢uthf͜u͏l.”

Galilei looked a little ... defeated ? What a strange expression. She was always open and oddly enthusiastic to when it came to explaining things, but talking about Phantom R would probably be an unusual topic to discuss.

“!!!”

Oh, would you look at that. Galileo is glancing back in return. Although her “glance” was more like an attempt of an imitating glare if anything. All Riley got as a reaction other than the glare would be a frustrated-sounding huff. Now why was this little murkrow upset ? This made no sense at all !
