the latest instalment of Incy Upslapmeal's Questionable Singing feat. Various Instruments comes to you this time from youtube, with the version of Lucy Gray Baird's interview song that I've had in my head since I read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes - I had to record this before the film comes out and gives me an Official Version!
STEVE PEMBERTON Taskmaster 17x03 ’Some impropriety.'
very odd being part of a story that making a bunch of headlines and front pages, and a) seeing how stuff has been twisted in the articles themselves and b) seeing how many people just read a headline, make an assumption, and then leave an angry fb comment lmao
doctor who missing episodes...
I understand that a lot of people are really into gardening but i think you should refrain from pointing at peoples houses and announcing the sexes of the bushes outside because you might accidentally get the correct ratio of men to women in that household and scare the crap out of the residents inside. Especially if you’re going to end your statement with “that’s why they’re not going to survive”
Last night i was sitting at my computer with my window open and i heard a guy on the sidewalk walk up to my yard, vaguely point at my house (it was dark) and say “oh yea there’s 3 females and one male, thats why they’re not going to survive” and then walked away and it took me walking outside with a flashlight to understand he was referring to the fact that 3/4 of my rosemary bushes have flowers and that he was not stalking my family of 3 women and 1 man and threatening us
i stay up late to be happy for a few more hours
Do y’all ever think about how absolutely bananas Lake Baikal is? It’s the world’s largest lake by volume. It’s the world’s deepest lake. It’s the world’s oldest lake. It contains nearly a quarter of the planet’s surface freshwater. It’s a rift lake, caused by the earth’s crust literally coming apart at the seams. It would be deeper than the Mariana Trench except the bottom is covered in a sediment layer that is miles deep. There are trains that have sunk to the bottom because Russia tried to build a railroad over the ice. The entire lake surface freezes for half the year. The lake is a focal point of multiple indigenous cultures. The lake has its own species of seal, which is the only exclusively freshwater pinniped in the world. There are unique ice formations formed by convection from the depths of the lake. There are 330 inflowing rivers.
I dunno, Lake Baikal sure is a thing.

saw a poll about dry/humid heat and like OBVIOUSLY everyone preferred dry heat but. would love to know what everyone considers to be “too hot”
me personally it’s a hard cutoff at 75°F. don’t need anything more than that thank you 🫶🫶🫶
i love classic who's weird misogyny. the characters split up, with the men going and exploring while the women stay put. ten minutes later the women have joined a revolution and are chucking bombs around while the men got kidnapped
I started watching the 3rd doctor's era and every time Jo gets kidnapped I can't even be mad because five minutes later the villains kidnap The Doctor, too.
The way the misogyny changes over time is fascinating as well. The early 60s well meant chauvinism to the 80s "eye candy for the dads" switch is wild to watch evolve in real time before your eyes.
