◈ FALLEN 20th YEAR ANNIVERSARY ◈ March 3rd, 2003 - March 3rd, 2023 (◈)
Call my name and save me from the dark…
Sorry for my absence, but I’m having personal issues that I need to put attention to, and also my Wi-Fi connection dies every 2 hours since May, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep posting regularly or not. In the meantime, enjoy this old/new edit. Hope you’re all safe and sound. Much love.

At first, the crowd barrier broke and after almost a 3 hour delay to get it fixed, the crowd grew angry and began throwing jars of dirt and other items at the bands instruments. Then proceeded to break and burn things including the bands instruments thus, tonight’s show being cancelled. As of now, Knotfest made an official statement saying Ev and Slipknot will be postponing the show until tomorrow afternoon. I am sincerely heartbroken for all of the true fans that were there, just trying to have a good time. I feel extremely sad and angry and want the band to be safe but the show most go on because well, Evanescence never disappoints.
*Update* The band posted on their Instagram account that they will be making it up to Mexico City somehow so it sounds like they won’t be performing tomorrow.
We are sincerely heartbroken for the band and their crew. Instruments and gears are expensive in terms of money, but priceless in terms of people invested in making sure they are cared for during tours and of the emotional connection the musicians have with them. These people rushed on a stage to destroy dozens of people’s work while others laughed. This behaviour is unacceptable and we hope other bands and professionals from the music industry will denounce it publicly. Clearly, some people need to be reminded that one does not destroy other people’s things. Acting this way puts everyone in danger, including the band&crew’s families, because guess what? This drastically reduces their incomes, might even cut them completely for some crew members. All the love and support to everyone from Evanescence and affiliated to them.
THIS DAY in Evanescence history
‘Fallen’, released March 4, 2003, is Evanescence debut studio album.
Amy Lee about the album: “We’ve all fallen, but at the same time we’re not broken. There is the hint that we are going to get up again.”
‘Fallen’ is their most commercially successful album to date, selling more than 7 million copies in the United States and over 17 million copies worldwide. It yielded four singles: ‘Bring Me to Life’, ‘My Immortal’, ‘Going Under’ and ‘Everybody’s Fool’.
The album earned Evanescence five nominations at the 46th Grammy Awards: Album of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Hard Rock Performance and Best New Artist. The band won in the latter two categories.
Some of y’all never realized that Evanescence isn’t a single person but a band and it shows
