Okay so —
Spirited away au.
Jack is a winter spirit, in service of the witch yubaba, forced to use his ice powers to defend her against her enemies. He hates it, but he can’t leave, trapped under the name Jack Overland that she gave him in exchange for his freedom. He remembers nothing of his old life, or even that he’s a spirit. It’s all a huge question mark.
Queue the plucky mortal who finds themselves trapped in the spirit world. They meet Jack, and they too lose their name to Yubaba, but through a series of extraudinary events they reclaim their names and Jack remembers who he truly is, Jack Frost, guardian of winter. Eventual the mortal must return to their own world — will they ever meet again?

There were many stories about Jack Frost: about his mischief, about his past, about how he came to be. There were many tales about the princess Rapunzel as well: about her journey, about her hair, about her rescuer. Two totally different stories; and to this day no one had ever noticed how well they blended together. How the puzzle pieces fit perfectly.

"Oh, don't worry about me. I'm fine," he replied. Jack wasn't entirely sure what had happened. One minute he was flying, the next he was distracted by a sign that he ended up soaring straight in to. Awfully embarassing, really.
