im remaking this post so i can format it more readably
so as some of you may know, i have been homeless for around the past 3 years, and ive been dealing with a bunch of bullshit from the p0lice that i will be going to court for in february. i had been court mandated to stay at my parents house in oct/novermber but they kicked me out, and its not a good environment for me anywat. one of my partners, asher, has been living with me since the summer to escape their abusive childhood home.
a couple years ago i had my permit suspended due to a misdemenor marijuana possession conviction. (i wasnt driving that was just part of the law, it is now decriminalized in that state). i have to pay a $200 fine to get it reinstated so i can take the drivers test and finally get my license. getting this will open up a lot more possibilities for us especially since most jobs here wont hire people without a license even if you dont have to drive anything on the job. we also need money consistantly for food, transportation, medical bills and medications (some of which are life-threatening if gone without), and potentially more court related costs.
we also need some various supplies and warmer stuff to get us through the winter. asher has a lot of chronic health conditions including asthma, anemia, and fibro myalgia, which make cold weather more dangerous for them so this is very important. my joint pain in my legs is getting worse to the point that i need braces every day and am using my cane more often, so its become a lot harder for me to take care of all the things i have to do and i need to rest very often. it would be massively helpful if i could ride the metro any time i needed to or get an uber once in awhile, but i can never afford that. in addition to these and other physical issues asher and I both have autism, adhd, depression/anxiety, ptsd, and experience near constant psychosis, as well as other diagnosis that we have individually.
all of these things make it extremely difficult if not impossible to have a regular source of incone and function normally in the world, so we greatly appreciate any help we get! if you cant donate please boost and share!! you can share on other platforms as well. and for anyone who looks down on people for ‘e-begging’ or thinks its our fault that we’re in this position, shame on you, truly. dont bother sending me hateful messages over it, if donation posts make you so mad for some reason it is literally so much easier to just scroll past and move on with your day.
