I guess this has been a long time coming. I've been more or less absent from tumblr for a while now, so I might as well change my page to reflect that. Part of this is because I've got the boards coming up this summer. But moreover, I've been struggling to come to terms with my hockey fandom this whole year for obvious reasons. With the recent news coming out about my AHL team, I no longer have hope that this organization is even slightly interested in changing for the better. Honestly, I can't think about the Blackhawks or the NHL without a knot in my gut anymore. I still love hockey. Maybe things will change in the future. Maybe I'll come back as a Whale fan once boards are done. But for now I'm doing what's right for me and stepping away for a bit. Feel free to shoot me an ask anytime.        - Mika
