how do you get text to go around a shape?? like outline it??

Hmm, I believe it’s the path tool! My way might not be the most efficient, but I believe it should work!

So first, you have your shape. I made mine extra messy so you can see how to do it for every single shape out there!

Next, select the border of the shape (it should be in png form, so that the background is transparent) by pressing down the CONTROL key and clicking on the layer preview in the layer palette.

Next, you want to create a path from your selection. So open the Paths Palette ( windows - paths ) and click the little button circled in red in the screencap below to create a path from your selected area.

So you’ll get something like this, where your shape is now outlined in a more solid grey color.

Next, you can write on your path! Just select the text tool, press anywhere on your drawn path, and start to type!
