“ fine fine,” she chuckled as she bumped her shoulder with his. “ I don’t believe that, i believe you can be happy. You just need to focus on the good instead of the bad. You deserve to give yourself that.” she said, as she nodded her head. “ well, i was doing nothing really i guess i mean, i went around and saw Jeremy while he was off in college.”

“Why are you being so nice about it? I thought you’d be angry with me.” He said. “You did? Well, do you have a place to live here?”

 “ I have no clue what you’re talking about. I am always helpful.”  she gives him the puppy dog eyes then laughs. “ Only you – you can decide how its going to end. Sure.. we don’t control everything but you do what you want and if someone doesnt like it too bad, I suppose.”  she said. “ What do you mean? What happened to me to make me come here or??”

“Yeah? Well you’re gonna have to prove it, because I don’t recall that.” He grinned. “Well if it’s up to me, it’s always gonna end up badly. I have this tendency to ruin things.” He said. “More like, what were you doing while you weren’t here?”

 “ Yeah, she didn’t know how to get down and i helped her out.” she said, nodding her head . “ While that might be true, we’re not in mystic anymore. You’ve got your siblings.. Katherine.  probably more people than that.” she said, looking at him. “ Keep your head up.”

“Good, at least you’re helpful.” He smiled. “Even when you’re feeling happy, that’s only a reminder that things can only get worse. So basically, you’re never truly happy.” He said. “So, what happened with you?”

 “ You do that,” she shook her head with a laugh. “ Yeah, I did. I actually ran into both of them… your sister was drunk and swinging on a ceiling. i was like yup, that’s damon’s sister and stefan, well he was stefan.” She said with a chuckle. “ Though, im glad things are going so well for  you.”

“She was drunk? I probably shouldn’t encourage her to do that.” He said, narrowing his eyes. “Yeah, Stefan never changes.” He laughed. “It’s never going that well. Something always have to screw everything up.”

 A small laugh fell from her lips. “ When you want to be.. maybe.” She dragged her foot against the ground. “ S–so. how is everything other than the other stuff i already know?”

“I’ll take that as a compliment.” He said with a grin. “Stuff are good. My sister is back, Stefan is here, I don’t know if you ran into him.”

 “ Yeah, Alaric basically said the same thing, so i guess it’s true.” she said with a shrug. “ Well,  true. irrationally thinking is more your style.” she said in a playful manner.

“Well I have no reason to lie about it, you know how truthful I am.” He smirked. “It is.” He nodded.

Jeanette nodded. “Thats good for you. Family is always good. So are you and Katherine..?” Were they back together now?

“Family is not always good, but I guess I don’t hate it. And I wish I could answer to that.”

 Elena let out a small laugh. “ That’s funny, i thought you left because you were trying to avoid me.” she said as she shook her head. “ Or as Katherine says, ‘ I’ve hurt him over a million times and hes never ran away from me’”

“Why would I avoid you? I know you’d come here eventually.” He smiled. “She said that? Well, running is not my thing anyway.”

“Yes, I do blame it on you,” she said with a sigh. “And just because I don’t deserve to be forgiven or understood doesn’t mean id on’t want to be.”

“You were forgiven, Katherine. I’m only bringing that up because you’re blaming me that I moved on.”

“Yup, that’s whyI had to drive.” 

“Who the hell stubbed him?”

 “ Good,” she said with a soft smile.” I missed you too, by the way.” she admitted before she pulled out of the hug. “ since you admitted it earlier, i think it was fair enough for me to say it back because  I did.”

“That’s a little too late for that, but I accept it.” He shrugged, grinning. “And it’s good to know. Because I thought you were gone because you tried to avoid me or something.”

“I’ve been working mostly.  I took my friend to the hospital because he was almost dead after being stabbed..and I’ve been with another friend.” 

“Your friend was stabbed?”

“Then maybe I can;t trust you! Because all I can think about it the fact that the second I wasn’t some sweet thing you could save from a tomb, you jumped at Elena.”

“Okay first, I didn’t jump at anyone. And second, I was willing to spend eternity with you. But you were the one to say that you never loved me. So you really can’t blame this on me.”

“I will always have to focus on her, Damon because she’s in there,” she said, pointing to his chest. “Because you still care about her, probably more than you care about me. And I don’t like to be second best.”

“Katherine, I love you. And that’s not gonna change. I’m not gonna fight with you about this, you’re just gonna have to finally trust me.”

 “ I’ll try… but no promises.”

“Good enough for me.”

“Yeah it’s not so bad.” 

“Good. So, what else you been up to?”
