Supporters continue to spread the news, resulting in our first backer milestone.—100+ backers. Again, amazing.

We took part in our first external interview regarding the book over at BeefJack today. Jose Cardoso asked some brilliant questions and I think (I hope) he got back some good answers. The full interview / story can be viewed now over at their website.

Kickstarter Launch

24 hours ago we were accepted as a project on Kickstarter, and promptly pressed the *Launch* button. Scary, but very exciting.

Getting everything in place up to that point was a mad rush, and the final logistics around bringing a project like this to life were probably the hardest part in the whole process—so far at least.

But, we pressed it! The response has been incredible, within minutes we had our first backer, the very talented Darren Wall (Read Only Memory). I sent out a few tweets to close friends and peers who have been offering advice on the project, and it kinda just progressed from there. Shaun Inman, Darren Wall (naturally), Daniel Howells, Mike Sullivan and Daniel Gray — a million thanks for all the help. You pushed us, guided us, promoted us. Yay!

It's been a brilliant first day. The numbers for now are great, but what is really exciting is that there are people who believe in the project, who are supporting it, and who are making it happen.

'Creative Gaming'—it involves everybody, every creative style, every joypad and every high-score. It's about the fans who create work inspired by games as much as it is the artists who create the games. It's about trying something new, explaining an experience in a different way or taking a reference and making it memorable. It's about Tetris® dreams, Street Fighter® thumb, Hyrule scents and pure gaming fun!
