Are you ready for the partial solar eclipse on Thursday, February 15? It comes the day before the February new moon!
This partial eclipse occurs in Aquarius, the sign of innovative ideas and creative energy. This eclipse is closely aligned with the planet Mercury - so this eclipse should effect ideas, communication, love, and companionship. This is a good time to make positive changes in your life, as solar eclipses are about new beginnings and positive new possibilities. With the new moon on Friday, be sure to set intentions clearly.

February, once known as Februarius, gets its name from an old Roman purification festival that occurred on the 15th of the month. Now it’s known for different celebrations and holidays – Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, and the many birthdays of American presidents. It is also lucky to have one of the most popular birthstones, amethyst. Through history there have been five gemstones associated with February.
Amethyst– This purple stone has been associated with the month of February for millennia. The Ayurvedic birthstone for February, Amethyst has ancient ties to the Romans and many Western European countries. Amethyst is a stone of wisdom, providing centered peace, amethyst also provides love, devotion, and peace of mind.
Bloodstone – The old Tibetan birthstone for February, Bloodstone has long been a treasured stone. Ancient Roman soldiers carried bloodstone for courage, as a remedy to stop blood flow in case their were injured, and to keep away evil spirits.
Moonstone – The Hindu birthstone of the month of February, Moonstone is a stone of new beginnings. Strongly connected to moon energy, it also has strong ties to intuition. This is a good stone for those who are interested in lucid dreaming. Moonstone is known for it’s feminine energy, accentuating empathy, and helps you to recognize serendipitous occurrences.
Pearl – Beginning in the 15th century, Pearl was the birthstone for February. A symbol of purity and love, the pearl has a soothing energy, bringing about calm and centered emotions.
Red Zircon – Also known as Hyacinth, beginning in the 15th century it was the February birthstone in Russia and Italy. This stone helps with peace of mind and prosperity.

This month the night skies will put on a show that hasn’t been seen in 150 years. Some are calling it a Lunar Trilogy – here’s why.
January 31 will mark the second full moon this month – which makes it a Blue Moon. There will also be a full lunar eclipse, which also makes this full moon a Blood Moon. These three things create the lunar trilogy. Add the fact the moon will be close to the earth and creating a Super Moon, there will be many strong lunar energies in the days before and after this full moon.
The full moon usually affects the emotional side of life. Our staff came together to create some stone options to help you manage this energy more confidently and work through any emotional issues that might arise for you.

Rhodochrosite: Known for having selfless love properties, rhodochrosite will also help heal your emotions and also encourage you to feel safe and ready to act on your dreams. The spiritual qualities of rhodochrosite help you to learn to accept and trust your own inner power so you can rely on yourself, not outside energies.
Morganite: This stone of love gently cleanses your heart so you can be free of the past. Morganite also dissolves egotism which may be blocking your spiritual advancement in this lifetime. Calming, morganite can help you discover new ways to find fulfillment in life and with the soul.

This full moon is being called a LUNAR TRILOGY. Why?
1. It's a super full moon
2. It's full lunar eclipse
3. It's a blue moon. A blue moon occurs when there are two full moons in a month. In 2018 there will be 2 blue moons.
Due to this, the eclipse will be three times as powerful. This eclipse brings benefits to each astrological sign. Most are warned not to sign documents at the end of the month. Double check with your favorite astrologer to see how it affects you specifically.
Don't forget to set out your crystals in the blue moon light to energize them! Set out some water in the moonlight to energize it with this unique energy.
