She's often accused of playing the victim, that's a big line in like the Kanye stuff, and so on, like she's self-victimizing. But to me, what's actually kind of interesting, and it's almost an artistic flaw of hers, is that she is unable to be the victim. Like, in Dear John, which is one of her best songs, she has that, you burned all the other girls you date out, but not me, I got your matches before you could burn me. And so like, she actually doesn't play the victim, she's just kind of honest. Like, if somebody releases a music video of you with like, a giant nude wax Taylor doll, she'll be like, that's kind of revenge porn and I don't like it. That's just hitting back, right? So like, what actually irritates people about her is her refusal to be the victim of a situation, but like, they call it playing the victim.

forgive me for being this dark. but all these people saying Taylor Swift is too perfect and too privileged to suffer would have pitied her and championed her as an underdog if she had successfully killed herself like she said she wanted to over and over on TTPD.

Movies would have been made about the last few years leading up to her death, they’d make theories about whose fault it REALLY is, they’d shame and scold each other for how they treated her, comparing her to Marilyn Monroe and Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse. And she would be dead just the same. And they would learn nothing.

They’re playing Drown The Witch. If she lives, her life isn’t that bad. If she dies, oh my god, she was suffering, we should’ve known.

apparently some people seem to be reading this as “when Taylor dies you’ll all be sorry!!” but the point has fucking nothing to do with Taylor Swift. Reflect on how we treat people who publicly say they are struggling with symptoms of mental illness. It affects everyone, including people who “have it better” than you, and the way you talk and think about public figures leaks into your everyday life.

omg i’m so mad i went to return that dumb twilight fanfiction to the library and noticed some of the pages were wet so my water bottle must’ve spilled on it the other day (which it wouldn’t have been anywhere near the book if the dumb mini cooper had cup holders that fit anything but a to go cup) and like if i had noticed earlier i might’ve waited and let it dry out to see if it was okay but i was already there so i went ahead and paid for it like i have never had a library fine or anything so the first time had to be a book i couldn’t stand the majority of lol like you are not worth my fifteen dollars!!! anyway i do figure it’ll be fine when it’s dry and i wipe the cover down which idk how there’s even dirt in the passenger seat footwell when i never have passengers but whatever i’ll just donate it but like. man why that book

i am forever a believer in kaylor and swiftgron and the ones that came before them basically being pre-social media i’m just like eh could be but i don’t have strong feelings and maybe it’s just bc i’m not actively following anyone that i don’t know their reasons but i see gaylors talking about lily donaldson and phoebe bridgers and i’m just like maybe you guys are just desperate for a new muse you’ll latch onto anything
