Man, I thought this one was a Duskie 'til I saw the tag. Hhhngh, much love and squeeing, very well done on making me miss the old Warcraft RP more than a little bit. I loved their canon lore. Sadly, I've only heard it remains a mess of drama and snoflaeks. T_T Ah well. *raises a glass as if to an old friend*

FFXIV Commission – Nai and Co, complete

A piece of commissioned group art for a dear friend, @naikitten, who has been going through a difficult time IRL.  Included in this picture are Nai (center), Erimmont Chevalier ( @shroud-father ), Desant Valeroyant, Remi Valkyriafang, and Ciel.  We all had fun chipping in and planning this gift for her, and it came out absolutely beautiful. Thank you very much, @ninjamonkeystudios for your beautiful work and generosity.  This means the world to all of us.

Long ago, years back, I joined the FFXIV community. At first, I found myself hopelessly lost after the person who brought me in essentially tossed me aside. I was depressed. I felt like I had given up the community I was a part of to be there and just left to rot. I considered it money wasted.

And then there was @naikitten . It’s funny to think at first, I was told she hated talking to people and because she was an officer, I was afraid to approach. When bar nights began, we happened to toss a few posts. Likely about her love for Elezen. 

Things just fell into place. 

She quickly became both Erimmont’s and my own best friend. We’ve tormented one another in Minecraft and ARK. She’s welcomed me to the party in 7 Days to Die. Talked my ear off about her love for Elezen and Nai’s plans to drive Erimmont insane. So many great times.

Like any friendship, we’ve had our disagreements. Rough patches. Hurt each other only to hug it out later. But she is dear to me despite the ups and downs. 

Always will be.

That’s why I asked the few close friends I knew to come together and help me put this together. Ciel is amazing and put me in contact with Ninja. Desant had the idea of using a proper knight commander’s chair rather than a throne. @glimmer-and-gold had the great idea of having both the kittens posed in such a perfect way. It’s only thanks to their contributions and Ninja’s skill that this piece came together.

You mean the world to us all, Kitton.

Even if you do call Erimmont ‘Stubby Ears’. <3

Just to add more to the story of meeting these adorable people... ily Stubby! 8D

But honestly, this is so very special to me as a work of art because it binds two 'generations' of friends together in one masterful piece. 💜

I met Z (@ninjamonkeystudios) near twenty years ago, and Ciel (@fairasmorninglight) around that time as well. I really don't remember who I met first, but I do recall it was just out of high school. XD Desant (@thingsthatgogrowlinthedark) wasn't too far after that, becoming a close friend in the adventures through FFXI where the original Nai took shape.

But then there was a long time where I fell out of contact and ended up lost in Warcraft, far away from the Final Fantasy bunch... When FFXIV released, I briefly found Ciel again in 1.0. It was in 2.0, however, that a lucky fluke of AFK-Duskwight made me realize I had found part of my old group again!

Soon enough, I had found Desant on Midgardsormr and moved with him to Balmung for the roleplay, where I then happened upon Ciel once more! On my adventurers there, I happened upon one certain Stubby (@shroud-father) and an adorable fellow dancer (@glimmer-and-gold) who have both stuck with me (us) like glue for years now.

I adore every single one of them. So I want everyone to understand the importance and specialty of this particular bit of art, even if it means me being a bit long-winded. It is so much more than art, it's a gift of love from a group of amazing people who I have known for so much of my life and mean so very much to me.

When you guys surprised me with this, I teared up. I haven't seen Z's art in nearly a decade. This is both an amazing 'just because' gift as it is a belated birthday, since I just hit 36 at the beginning of the month. X3 You guys are all amazing, I love you to bits! Thank you so so so much!

This is a project that will be put on rails in a little while, something that I have been thinking for a time, but decided to do yesterday.

The Lost Tomes of Hydaelyn is blog that will be used to share, reblog, submit and publish the writings of the Final Fantasy XIV players, Roleplayers, writers, whatever you call. I always complained and felt how those are often shunned, left to the dark, because of the time spent and the difficult to follow the stories of all the blogs you follow. This will help ease the work and at the same time publicize your lovely works.

It will focus on organization, catalog and publicizing of ORIGINAL CONTENT (check rules and about for more info) for all community. It’s roughly done and I ask you kindly that you reblog this post and start spreading the word while I am polishing and finishing the blog.

There we will have one motto, that will be followed at all times: “Each reblog is worth more than 10 likes”.

Rebloobing because YEAR OF THE DOG, BITCHES, awwwhyeeeaaah~

.... Shush I'm on meds and haven't been able to sleep all night. ;0;

My semi-yearly rebloob of this because it's so true. Especially since I'm trying to get back into art after so long being hospitalized/bedridden/sick-in-general.

With my new laptop and tablet combo, though, I have a bed system! I just... need to look into a wall-mounted arm for the tablet. I loooooove my new Cintiq 27QHD (not Touch), but the thing is like 35lbs and digs into my tummy in painful ways if I hold it propped up in my lap. XD

You prefer dynamic and theatrical situations rather than solemn and quiet paces of life. A downside in your character is that you may possibly be perverted most of the time and easily fall in love or have crushes on other people you admire.

Amusingly enough, Nai got this same answer, though I disagree about her liking theatrical situations unless she's performing on a stage. She strongly dislikes conflict/drama and actively avoids it to the point of personal detriment, sometimes.

I would say she doesn't easily fall in love, but the truth is she's a sucker for attention and readily returns affection. So in reality she's a hopelessly bleeding heart, though it's overpowered by her fierce sense of devotion when she has someone actively returning the emotion.
