Do you have some sort of business with me? Or are you just going to stand there? [[ This is an independent roleplay blog for Drakon from Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic/Sinbad no Bouken. By default he is 29 and human, though if requested I'll play him younger or assimilated. Tracking tag - "nobledragon" ]]

"Ah, Drakon-san! Would you—" Morgiana stopped in the tracks as she was that, the general wasn’t a dragon anymore. He had a human form, and he seemed much younger. Was there possibly a way to un-assimilate yourself to your householf vessel?

Upon hearing the young Fanalis call his name, the general sheathed the blade he’d been sharpening and turned in his chair to face her. “Was there something you needed, Morgiana?” Dragul inquired politely, a bit surprised that she would seek him out. The poor girl looked very confused…

Imitates Leila and smacks Drakon's ass instead "HIT THE BOOTY!" he says laughing before running from Drakon. "AHAHAH" (xD)

"Really, Sharrkan!? You know better!" What was with people and his thighs and ass?! It was awkward and inappropriate!

"You’d best keep running!!" He’d get him back for it later. Somehow.

Perhaps he’d embarrass the exiled prince in front of Yamu…

"Ahaha! You can’t catch meee!" He says, laughing while running. He knew he would regret this later probably.

He felt his eye twitch upon hearing his fellow general’s laughter. Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, Drakon sneered at the fleeing swordsman, “You’re just jealous because your ass can’t compare.”

Obviously flustered, Dragul snapped, "What the hell was that for, woman?!" Did that woman just come out of nowhere…?! And why would she greet him so inappropriately?!

Honestly! Is that what was passing for manners nowadays?

Leila paused to twirl around and wave back at him. “Leila! And nice to meet you!” She laughed obviously drunk off the high spirits of the festivities and not at all bothered by the prudish general.

….Thigh slapping can too be a greeting if she wanted.

Leila huh? Her features were unfamiliar—not that the dark-haired general knew every face in Sindria individually, but this girl appeared to be an outsider. Perhaps she’d come in on one of the merchant ships?

“Dragul,” he offered in turn, not bothering to give his full name. He’d learned quite some time ago that most people found it too complicated and didn’t listen after the first five syllables. Upon catching up with the other—as they were headed in the same direction—he noted just how enthusiastic the young woman was. Somewhat curious, he asked, “Is this your first time seeing one of Sindria’s festivals?”

So what if the dungeon was crumbling down around them? Even as the ground tremored, and even as it threatened to split open and swallow them whole, he would not, he r e f u s e d, quite frankly, to leave the prince here, even if he was a brat and somewhat unbearable, yes, but if nothing they were allies for now and who knew?—Sinbad might need the little bastard for bait later. So, sliding across cracking earth he planted his feet above the crevice into which the boy with too long a name (Drakon worked, and he could deal with it) had gotten wedged into. And he grabbed onto the wrists that were concealed by whatever too-ornate imperial clothes he was wearing—why was royalty so damned garish? He knit his dark brows above his yellow-brown eyes, he grit his teeth, and he heft for all that was in him. A loud groan and he managed to get some movement.

“would-you,” he spat though his teeth,                         “plant-your-feet-on-the-wall?” he said                         through grit teeth, hissed out on his                         breath. His short nails threatened to shred whatever it was he was holding on as he pulled, stepping back, trying to lift the slightly heavier man. But he couldn’t do it without a little bit of h e l p.

What exactly did the golden-eyed peasant think he was doing? Dragul—the commander of the western region—the son of a Parthevian General!—had given the other the chance to flee. He had ordered him to escape! So why was the young man now grasping at his armored wrists, heaving with all his might in an attempt to save him?

“You’re a fool,” he managed to hiss out, doing as the other requested and managing to gain a foothold. Despite how much Dragul didn’t want to owe this cocky, little brat, the instinct to preserve his own self kicked in. The realization struck him like waves upon a shore:

He didn’t want to die for Parthevia.

He was instantly ashamed of the thought. It was an honor to die in the line of duty!—or so he’d been told. So then why was he grasping at Sinbad’s wrists in turn, trying so desperately to live? Was he truly so scared of death?

He would have to ponder the answers to those questions another time. For now, with the young sailor’s help as well as the adrenaline pumping through his own veins, Dragul was pulled free from the chasm. Granted that still left them with the itty-bitty dilemma of the dungeon itself crumbling apart around them…

As the armor-clad soldier attempted to calm himself—he could still hear his heartbeat pounding in his ears—he glanced at Sinbad from the corner of his eye. “And where do you propose we go from here?” Dragul managed to inquire between ragged breaths. From where he stood, every direction was starting to look like certain death. The room was caving in, and for all he knew the entire dungeon might be collapsing.

"Relax you party pooper! It’s a celebration! Have fun and let loose a little!" She laughed while running off.

Shaking his head, Dragul let out a soft grunt. Celebration or not, he was a bit uptight when it came to his personal space. Blush now faded from his flustered expression, he called out over the crowd, "A proper introduction includes a greeting and a name!"

image

… And no, slapping his thighs was not a proper greeting gesture.

1st person gets a rose flower crown

It had been a long time since Dragul had last made any sort of flower crown. In fact it was probably back when he was still a little brat following around the Parthevian princess. Still, watching the 3rd Prince of Balbaad and his companions tie together elaborate crowns and rings out of Sindria’s wildflowers was terribly nostalgic for him.

From where he stood, the dragon-eyed soldier could spot one of Alibaba’s companions who seemed to be keeping his distance from the flower-crown making circle. If he remembered correctly, the young man’s name was Cassim. He played a large role in the chaotic events of Balbaad, hadn’t he? That might explain his aloofness.

Still… that just wouldn’t do.

Crossing into the grass, the Sindrian General politely requested to take one of the flower crowns before making his way over to the smoking, young man. Shoving the wreath of floras atop Cassim’s head Dragul quipped, “You’re supposed to be friends, correct? You should act like it.” He wasn’t saying it to be mean. He just knew from his own experience people like Cassim (and himself) needed a push sometimes.

Not waiting for a response, the armor-clad male started back to the palace. He had a meeting to get ready for after all.
