"That was a luck shot. I used the multiple exposure function of my camera, shooting the tree and then my father's face. I adjusted the contrast slightly in post processing. I was very happy with the result.”

The Lucky Seal by Harry Egens

"While one seal ended its live in the jaws of the Great White Shark, the Cape Fur Seal on the right was lucky. The shot was taken early morning just after sunrise in False Bay near Seal Island in South Africa.”

Storm on the Sea by Yan Larsen

"This picture was taken in the Lofoten Islands, Norway. The weather was bad, and I sat in my car for three hours to take this shot, waiting for a break in the clouds. Outside, the wind was so strong I could hardly stand!"

Ghostly Cub by Jordi Fernandez

"I took this in Lebala camp, Botswana. We were photographing lionesses when this cub approached us from behind. I lay as low as possible on the car for a low angle while trying to get the sun disk out of the frame."

"This was taken during the first day of ‘Rapas das Bestas’ in Sabucedo, Spain. About 200 wild horses are caught, then marked with microchips before being set free. Here the heat from the horses produced a steam visible in the shot.”
