Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun reportedly Leaving SM Entertainment.
SM Entertainment has issued a statement regarding concerns about Girls’ Generation’s future following reports that three members have decided not to renew their contracts with the company.
According to reports on October 9, after long discussions with SM Entertainment about their contracts, the members of Girls’ Generation will not all be remaining with the agency. It is reported that only Taeyeon, YoonA, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sunny have renewed their contracts, with members Sooyoung, Seohyun, and Tiffany deciding not to re-sign with SM Entertainment.
A source told Yonhap News, “Three members have decided to end their contracts. Girls’ Generation will remain as it is as a team, but in the case of them being under different agencies, their participation will realistically become difficult. However, the members are still in discussion about what decision will be made.”
Shocking many fans with their departure from SM Entertainment, Sooyoung and Tiffany have both removed the group from their Instagram bios. On the flip side, maknae Seohyun still has the group name on her page which clearly reads ‘Girls’ Generation.’
