Just some of my plants bc I’m real proud
(The tulips were a surprise gift from my boy friend yesterday arent they so pretty)
I get 85% of my plants from a clipping or seed or plants i find in the wild and i propagate them, i try not to buy any plants unless its something i really want and can’t propagate like my jasmine. I don’t take full plants from the wild, though if someone is throwing a plant away in a pot on the side of the road i always take the whole thing and bring them back to life. I got most of my pots and plants by trading them or finding them in the trash, i really like the green (reuse reduce recycle) aspect of gardening and I’m trying to keep my hobby as cheap as i can to show others you don’t need much to get started.
This is cotton! I got seeds from a plant i found broken near someones cotton field after a harvest, I’m excited to give the squirrels and birds some fresh cotton for their nests this winter
Also the bird nest, and the clay buckets.
This is the second spring in a row that my wren family has nested in my plants, i love that they feel safe and protected on my porch. Last year i got to see the babies take their first flight.
And the clay was collected from my favourite river, diluted with water, passed thru a towel to purify it, and now im waiting on the water to evaporate so i can make some incense holders or trays or beads
