One of the best displays of what team work is all about and perseverance at its finest. In the past I used to think I had to achieve my goals completely on my own, maybe it was more of a pride thing but pride alone wasn't a legitimate reason for me to not seek for help when I felt like I needed it. Some might say this is a sign of weakness but I believe that admitting you need help in whatever it is you're doing is a sign of growth/self improvement. Over the years I have seen Camp Delta change many people especially during moments like these. So I would like to thank Team Arbok for reminding myself and everyone watching that you don't have to be alone in times of need, that it's okay to ask for help along the way, and that you have a team behind your back cheering you on to the finish line.

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot Curren$y, Mannie Fresh, Pell, and CornerBoyP. Amazing time on this shoot, also the DJI ronin is great.....when it works 🙄

Thanks to Maya & Co. for allowing me to come in and shoot!

***Things to keep in mind: *** -I shot this for fun. -I shot this video in 12 minutes. -I never saw the choreo before hand. -The original routine is 9 minutes so I cut out what was useable footage from the 1 take I filmed. -I recut the original track, I did my best to keep the choreography true to the music. -There are 2 really short clips/moves that they rehearsed so I was able to cut those 2 shots in. -I shot at an f/2.0 the whole time. -My camera rig is 26 pounds, I was on my self balancing board for all the shots, no stabilization used in post.

///tech/// -Blackmagic Ursa (V1 the heavy one) -Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 (shot at f/2.0) -4k UHD ProRes422HQ, exported 422. -3 LUTs combined for the color grade, I also added a very small amount of grain. (lighting wasn't that great so I had to raise exposure in post) -8 short clips shot in 48fps, the rest 24fps -Self balancing board for "stabilization"

///music/// ***I don't claim ownership to any of these tracks*** 1st track: Rhianna- work 2nd track: A1 by Olafur Arnalds 3rd track: Untitled Smash Hit by COH

A couple pictures from a shoot we did for LCP (Louisiana Cancer Prevention). I had the pleasure to DP an amazing survival story by Mrs. Trudy a cancer survivor. Such a strong and positive woman despite what has happened along her journey. One of the sweetest ladies ever, the moment we walked in at 9:30am she was cooking/prepping for lunch. She made the best pot roast ever and refused to allow us to go out for lunch. With an awesome crew and collaborative effort we can make something beautiful happen. Here's another one for the books!

::quick rant::

If you really love what you do you'll go out there and shoot something whether you're paid to or not.  I don't care if there isn't a proper "set" for whatever you're shooting, don't let that be an excuse as to why you're not making anything.

I believe you always learn something new with every video you make whether its time you spend behind the camera or in post.  Everything I know about video work I've learned just by throwing myself out there and filming things that I like, sure you won't always have a set, grip crew, producer, etc. with you but it's a great way to exercise being able to think on your feet.

So go out there and shoot, show people what you can do and this will show them that you can do much more with crew behind your back.  Don't be afraid to post videos/make mistakes because in all honesty you want people to point those mistakes out for you.  Learn to accept constructive criticism and you will improve quickly.

This edit isn't as high energy compared to the previous drift videos I've done, I wanted the drifters to be able to sit back and enjoy some of the footage as opposed to seeing cuts that are too quick for them to absorb.

Still waiting on the new 4.6k sensor to come out, hopefully this will solve the blackorb/purple highlights issue.  I had to do some masking but nothing major to get rid of those especially for the donuts shot.

also quick thank yous' to My Nguyen and Kim Tran for always allowing me to come out and shoot these events, and to Kevin Tran and @lhvo519 for getting those in car shots for me :p

Basically what the title says. This video does not display my editing/sound design ability whatsoever, this video is simply something I put together for Carlos and the fans to see the entirety of the fight. This will be the last bit of footage I put out until the documentary is finished, enjoy! Big props to Carlos Vera on his win! Specs: Blackmagic Ursa Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 Color Grade: Davinci Resolve Adobe Premiere Pro CC ***I shot this video for two purposes. One to capture the whole fight and two so I can use bits and pieces of it for his documentary, so that will explain the rack focusing and on board camera audio I left.**

Here are some BTS pics of a little short(video up in a few days) my buddy and I did. Had an amazing time shooting this! Scheduling was a challenge but we all made it happen! Big props to @thrsngyn and Josh for putting up with how long we took to film shit. Sacrifices have been made and it was worth it. I'll save the rest of my ramble for the video post :p

Another video I worked on in my spare time, fun trip to Clark Creek! No tripod, no glidecam, and one lens. I wanted to keep a good balance between hiking and recording shit, plus it gave it a fun home video vibe. Enjoy!

*man online compression is killing this one, I say this all the time though lol.
