Story time

So believe it or not, back at my very first barn this was this girl that believed every horse only had a certain amount of jumps in their entire life. For conversations sake, let’s say that number is 1,000. So if she saw another boarder miss their spot or just mess up, she would tell them that they waisted a precious jump and to not do that because of the set amount of jumps. She once told my old trainer that she counted how many times she jumped that ride, and told her she used up 12 jumps in a shitty ride and she should use her remaining jumps on her horse more carefully.

I had to be told this story twice because I literally could not believe my ears

I once had a gym teacher say this about heartbeats, that your heart would only beat a preordained number of times before it just up and stopped (ie dying of old age) so we should get in good cardiovascular fitness so our resting heart rate was lower and beat fewer times at rest so we could live longer. Freaked out 13 year old me for sure.

I can’t believe we’ve already found the best animal video of 2016.

That is too adorable. You can tell the mother cat actually does trust the dog just by her body language. Typically a mother will watch her kittens closely and be very protective of them, here she completely trusts the dog to play gentle with them. This is just too damn cute.

When he bops the kitten and looks up at Mom to make sure he didn’t overstep!

The dog is trying to make himself as non-threatening as possible!!
