Familiarize yourself with how studios work, watch behind the scenes of animated movies. Best the best general advice I can give you is to draw stuff everyday! And if you have no ideas for stuff to draw, go make a pinterest account and follow as many art boards as you can. Be sure to organize references too in your own boards! Oh man references are so important... good luck and keep drawing!

At DTVA we were assigned to do a design of a dog and their owner, basing it off of the dog walking scene in 101 Dalmatians. It was a fun challenge to play with, its very difficult to try and draw like the 9 Old Men! I just hope I did it justice :-/
