Kim Hansol A fortune-teller and charm-twister by profession Azhdeha An ancient dragon reawakened Cassie A displaced cyborg pulling her soul together, bit by bit

“Many of our kind are weak, and the ages easily drive them to madness and insanity. Well. More than what is natural.” The rubbing under its chin has the spirit leaning a little into the touch, always secretly eager for the sensations of having a body. “But you like his energies, don’t you? I can tell. Your aura is alight with desire. It’s a lovely sight…” Its voice turns a little playful, joking. “But be so kind not to soak him empty, yes?”

“You react to touch like he does. Starved for it.” Hansol keeps up the rubs, staying around the jaw area. “They’re wonderful,” he purrs, “almost as good as having yours. But he’s sweeter, like something you’d crave.” Hansol makes a little affronted noise, cheeks pink. “We share. He’s getting some of mine in return for some of his. We’re mixing, not stealing.”

“Now they make them like you, then?” the spirit laughs. “Though, I remember you to be quite the unique one. Not entirely selfish either, considering this establishment of yours.” It tilts his head a little, suddenly sounding almost playful and daring. “I do not need to watch. I can read his memories, his thoughts. Which means I am also aware that you intrigue him. He is not entirely aware of it yet, maybe, but you are straddling him. His mind already made that connection. Though I cannot tell if he would go through with it, eventually. He might reject you, though it feels unlikely, that’s what I know.”

“Many spirits these days are so whiney. Even the mortals get annoyed. I do as I wish, but not so much that others feel the need to have an intervention.” Hansol rubs one finger under the spirit’s chin, like one would do to a cat. “I suppose the bouncing earlier didn’t help. Seduction isn’t my forte, which will only be more muddled when you step back and his energies come through again.” He’s almost embarrassed how gone he ends up, dizzy, high, and melting into the demigod.

For a moment, the spirit is silent, before it shrugs calmly. “I am free of mortal desires. There is only so much I can do for myself, so I might as well do things for others now and then. Cures the boredom of the ages.” It hums in agreement there. “He is easily embarrassed, I know you would have your fun. Very well…” the spirit grins, amused. “Do inform me of any arising desires, would you be so kind? I would like a warning to get to an appropriate… mental distance.”

“You’re so strange,” Hansol cooes, “So kind, as well. They just don’t make them like you anymore, do they.” He grins back, bending down a little. “You’re not one of those types that like to watch, huh? Pity, I’m sure we’d look good. That is, if the kid would have anything to do with me. There’s always the chance of repulsion.”

“I did not sense his olympian heritage right away, I admit. I wanted to protect his mother, and when I could not save her, I chose to protect what was most dear to her.” The light patting makes the spirit smile slightly, followed by an odd, amused chuckle. “That would be distasteful. If you were to suddenly take such interest in the kid, I would politely go back to sleep. I am too old for such interests, I’d say. Besides…” it lowers its voice a little. “Sex he cannot remember makes him very anxious and tense.”

“A noble cause. I never understood why you made a point of doing things for others,” his tone is almost patronizing, cautious to not go overboard. “Too old? Don’t act like it’s not the best way for an energy transfer. In three hundred years will you still think the same?” Hansol frowns. “If I ever took interest, with is a possibility with the compatible energies, I would want him to remember, and I would want to amuse myself by making him embarrassed later on.”

“They might not know better? I could not spend the rest of my existence that way. I am glad to have found purpose.” It doesn’t have to say it out loud for the both of them to know that it was referring to the demigod it possesses. “So only a select few have energies you can tolerate? Otherwise you would not be straddling this kid, would you not?”

“Though your choice is a little odd. I would have never pegged you as one to get anywhere near the Olympians.” Hansol pats the spirit’s chest, casual about the touch before moving his hands back near the spirit’s. “Clean energies. Ones that won’t pollute mine. You say straddling like it’s so strange. At least you didn’t come to when Daehyun was being fucked.”

“I see.” The spirit nods sagely, its head tilting a little. “You are a fascinating one. I have met many of our kind throughout the ages, and few choose to become part of the world the way you have done. You are a nice change… ever-silent guardian spirits and mindless nature spirits and the likes.” It gives Hansol’s knees a light squeeze, a low laugh rumbling in its chest, echoing faintly. “The bare human skin bothers you?”

“They live boringly. Lurking and leaving things be is considered noble but what difference is there?” The small, almost affectionate, gestures are only appreciated from the spirit. Anyone else would have been brushed off, but Hansol is almost cowed by it. “Their skin releases their dirty energies all over the place. It’s gross, and makes a mess of my energies.” He shivers and squirms even thinking about it.

“This one is a leaf water creature,” the spirit gives a small laugh at its own joke, casually settling its hands on Hansol’s thighs on either side of its body. “I can imagine that must be useful. Having a vessel of your own make. But does it not get tiring? I enjoy the times I can relax and just sleep while the kid is awake. How do you cope? The mortal world has a tendency to quite tear at our substance at times.”

“You don’t say?” Hansol croons. “I have understandings and dealing with other creatures that keep my body from causing a fuss.” He absently touches at his bruising and the charcoal still rubbed into his skin. “Usually I sleep through the summers, as they are draining. All those humans out and about, skin bare,” he shudders in mild revulsion, hands falling to rest on the spirit’s.

“I’ve had two decades to get used to this body,” the spirit shrugs, hands eventually letting go of Hansol’s wrists and letting itself fall on its back. “Exchanging energies. Yes, that does make sense. Skin is a wonderful connection.” It looks the witch over once more, head tilting as if it suddenly realizes something. “You… have chosen to create your own form, if I am not mistaken? Instead of possessing a vessel?”

“You still just woke up. Humans are funny, they flail about and rely on bean water to revive them.” He looks down at his torso, most of the bruising faded dramatically. “We were testing it to make sure we wouldn’t get sick.” He looks to the spirit’s face and tilts his head as well. “Correct. It came of happenstance, like a star being born. It worked out so I got my own.”

The spirit’s grip is rather lax, Hansol could easily pull free if he tried, but it was nice not to have someone rubbing their hands all over its face. “Messing with the mortals… that does sound like you.” It tilts its head, voice neutral as ever. “Which brings me to another question. Why are you sitting on him? While I know he would not be disinclined to sleeping with you, it is still… odd.”

“Nice motor controls. Usually the freshly awoken are clumsy. Could’ve broken my wrist.” He shuffles a little, bringing his knees in closer to the spirit’s sides. “Not disinclined to sleep with me, hm? He’s a little strange. We were exchanging energy and huddling together. That’s why we’re also a little naked. But only a little.”

Avatar
“Very true. But I do not struggle or mess with him. And he does not complain about sharing his body.” The odd pulling and squishing at the cheeks has the spirit frowning and only then does it move one hand to wrap around Hansol’s wrist and stop him, calmly but firmly. “Tell me about this place,” it requests after a moment, glancing around the room again. “What are you doing here with the mortal fleshlings?”

Hansol pouts over having his hands stilled, though the expression doesn’t weird him out anymore. He leaves his wrist in the spirit’s grip. “This is my shop. I run a little divination in my spare time for the other creatures, and entertain a few humans. It`s a decent way to hold out. Sometimes it’s fun to mess with them.”
