Hello! I’m Marina, (@chamomeow), and I’m curating a digital zine based around the “neko girl/cat girl” trope. A cat-girl, will have cat features like a tail, ears, claws, etc.
This trope is often used as a means of expressing femininity, or to sexualize female identifying people, and I’d like this zine to turn this around by showing cat girls doing mundane, everyday activities, and get a glimpse into their daily lives!
Cat features are often seen as representing femininity, but don’t be afraid to push the idea of what “femininity” means. Gender role expression is different for everyone!
I would like to see a collection of different interpretations of what can be expressed with this trope, rather than just characters being used as sex objects, which can often be the case with this kind of character.
Every day is a new day, and different for everyone. You can express a moment in a typical day in the life of a cat girl!
